Chapter 12 Part I

Once lunch was concluded and the young doctor had left, the young man paced back and forth numerous times, not brave enough to go in and see the young woman. Finally, he decided to walk in to see her and tell her—or rather, command her—to prepare to go outside.

“I’m taking you to the shopping mall. Prepare yourself.”

“Why should we go there?” she asked immediately.

“I intend to buy clothes for the children, but I don’t know how to choose them. Could you help pick them out?” The young man’s tone softened.

“The children have plenty of clothes. Both Mother and Dr. Nont buy them almost every day. When they grow up, they won’t be able to use them all in time. Why buy so many?”

“Those clothes aren’t outfits that they got from their father, are they? How can they be the same?” the young man shot back.

“At the mall, every section has salespeople who make recommendations,” the young woman instantly countered.
