I quickly turned back, taking out my dagger only to realise that it wasn't an enemy. It was a young woman with long black hair and Piercing blue eyes. She didn't look like the people of my land or this land but she was still beautiful. "Who are you" I said backing away.
"Adae, I'm the descendant of the Legendary Hero" She responded getting closer, "You've survived this great wind so I've come to you with an offer".
"What is it?" I asked.
"Become the second Legendary Hero". I paused for a moment. I'd heard of the legend but never really though much of it. It seemed like he was a brute who only enjoyed killing, there's no joy when you repeat and action too many times.
"Why would I do that, there's no beauty in it" I responded lowering my weapon.
"There was, he was a hero to many" She said pointing at my top. I began to rethink. I wanted to be a hero. Being loved by all might've been true beauty.
"How many was he a hero to?"
"To all, even the sons of his enemies" She responded.
"Ok then, do I just have to kill people then?"
"No no, if so then you would be hated, you should kill those who are hated, kill the villains" She responded. I nodded in understanding.
"By the way, do you have food?". She shook her head. I sighed and looked back at our camp. The capital was at the North East to camp so I began heading that way.
Morning came and there was still no sight of the capital. My lips were cracked and bleeding but the woman looked fine. "Do you have water?" I asked trying to seem friendly. Once again, she shook her head. Eventually after hours of walking, I spotted a house in the distance. It didn't look abandoned but it was completely alone. "Keep watch" I said handing her my dagger. The house was small but quite packed with food and water, so much that I couldn't carry it all. I searched for a bag and placed as much food and water as I could. I also found some clothes since I'd be arrested if I wore this uniform. Suddenly, I heard yelling outside. I rushed out with my bow in hand only to see an old man. "Kill him" I said.
"No, as I said, killing needlessly will only make you the villain" She responded. I scowled and put back my bow.
"What are ya do-", I rushed at the man and instead elbowed his jaw. His head rocked and he stumbled to the floor. He still looked to be breathing so I went back in to get the supplies then came back out. "I didn't kill him" I said taking my dagger back, "Also, tell me more about the Legendary Man".
"Truth be told, I myself do not know much as most of his belongings were taken by his disciples" She said. I sighed again. She was more useless than I thought.
"Then why are you with me if you have no use?"
"I do, I know where his some of his disciples' treasures are" She responded. I began to notice how emotionless she was. She hadn't shown a hint of anger even though I'd made a 'rude' remark.
"Where are they then?"
"One of his disciples' is in the great kingdom of Ubok, the disciple was quite well off so it should be within the rich regions". I nodded. That was good to know but the kingdom of Ubok was very far and they weren't on the best of terms with my homeland. It was a great risk but I had to do it to become a hero
