There's only glass between us

I arrived in just over an hour and found they'd already set camp and were now only waiting for the others to arrive. I noticed that fucker Andador was here aswell but didn't bother to talk to him. "There's a lot of weight on your shoulders today, don't mess it up" said some guy who's name I hadn't bothered to remember. I already knew the only reason they picked me to do this shit was because they thought I was dispensable but little did they know I'd take the Kings head and declare myself as the new king. I'd crush this shitty group and take my 2 wives then if the Ubokians came for me, I'd conquer those snobby fuckers too.

Eventually after a tiring wait they all arrived. There was still time until night fell. In the midst of this a man came to me with a letter and said, "From Rumba" before walking off. I opened it and it read that they'd be waiting for me at the castle. In the back of my mind there was shred of suspicion coming from him but he couldn't kill me with my gun. All it takes is one shot. As I closed the letter I heard another set of footsteps coming towards me. I looked up and there he was in all his filth. "I already know of your plans" he said.

"What plans?"

"You wanna become the king, there's no point in hiding it from me" he responded closing in on me.

"And so what, you've got no proof, I'll kill you right now you fucker!"

"I've got no plans of stopping you, I on the contrary actually plan to help you". I looked at him trying to discern any sign of a lie.

"Help me how?"

"I'll kill Rumba, he's the only threat to your plans isn't he?". I nodded

"How are you gonna do that?"

"I'll head to the castle about now, consider him dead already, I know every nook and cranny of that place"

"Alright then, thanks" I said reaching out to shake his hand. He accepted it and like that our relation was mended. Killing him was irrational of me, a king had to stay level headed.

Eventually night fell and we began to clear out the hideout. I was to stay behind until they cleared out the outside then I'd go in and kill the king and anyone inside presumably. A short while passed and eventually one of them returned saying, "Go now". I rushed off and climbed the gate with some assistance. He led me to the side where there were a cluster of boxes, presumably stuffed with the Kings valuables and I climbed above. "On the other side, just climb the window and he'll be there" he whispered before waving me off. I crawled through and reaches it, to my dismay however the moon was on his side so there was a chance he could see my outline but that was only if he was awake. I gathered my courage and shifted the curtain slightly and there he was, still sleeping. Now there's only glass between us
