The ordinary world is not what it seems.
Many strange events unfold in the background but go unnoticed by the masses or are covered up.
A supernatural world exists along with the natural world which can only be seen by those called Balancers.
Spirits and Evil Spirits exist along with Balancers who possess unique powers to see and fight them.
Among the many ordinary humans, a girl undergoes a lot of suffering and experiences a prophetic vision.
It grants her knowledge of the hidden world and of some future events.
The girl loses almost everything she has and then takes the steps needed to become a Balance Breaker.
Her past identity has to be abandoned for the sake of survival so she renamed herself Ash.
Ash gains the powers of a Skin-Walker and begins living in such a world taking on the appearances of others, experiencing their lives and living under the mask of another person.

The person that Ash had met was just an intermediary between the person who had the biggest connection to the person she wanted to encounter most.

Ross worked for Carlton but he was not the boss of their group since he was one position lower than them.

The boss of their group would not be seen in the lower fighting events so they would only send their subordinates there to scout for the talents so Carlton and Ross were only there to do that.

If anyone caught their eye then they would try and recruit them.
