There was a large number of things that she was uncomfortable with and could cause her anxiety to be triggered.
Each of them could have had some effect on her but her past efforts were not in vain and her mental preparations had helped to keep her from falling apart.
Each small thing that happened around her and how nothing bad had happened despite having no control had only helped to prove to her that she had been worrying over nothing.
Her worries were not unfounded considering the type of situation she had put herself in but the affirmation that she had not experienced anything unpleasant was something important for her if she had to experience the same thing again.
If nothing had happened then she would have had a little more courage to do it again rather than choosing to avoid it and give up on her plans each time she was overcome with anxiety about what could happen to her.
