Void Exchange Hall (1)

With my orders directly from the Temple Master I left the hall. However I did not immediately leave the Void Temple. There were a few things I had to take care of while I had the fortune of being able to exchange a myriad of resources and items. So my first stop was the merits department.

While I wished that I would be able to avoid losing out on these materials from the monsterbeasts I hunted… None of these things could provide me with as much benefit as their equivalent worth in Saint Crystals. Besides after having refined the Saint Crystals the way I did it was clear to me that this was the best source of power as it was incredibly efficient.

Saint Crystals were a crystallization of the world's Qi. As such they are pure and quite dense. So even if I could just pull the Qi I need from whatever comes my way. It would be for the best if I exchange these items. Since they may have a better use for the future.

For example, the hide of a monster beast could be used to refine a powerful artifact of the same level. Thus making it more valuable to an artifact refiner. Alternatively a seamstress could use the hide for similar matters. These seamstresses typically are also Artifact refiners as well. Though, they have decided to focus more closely on the fashion side of things. They also have a tendency to be… a little… well… to put it bluntly, they can be shameless.

~~At the Merit Exchange Hall~~

I walked up to a counter where a woman was patiently waiting for a Disciple to help. These Disciples can earn a small amount of merits by working these counters so it is naturally a place where people go when they feel they need to take a short break to comprehend a few things. However, since men are typically hot headed, they usually aren't qualified to work the counters. This is why one would almost always find a woman attending the counters. It was an amicable setup to say the least.

"Oh my, it's the Dao Master's son! How can this one assist you?" The woman bowed a deep bow quickly, accidentally banging her head on the counter.

There was now a very clear red mark on her forehead after she stood up. I said they were amicable. However, some of these women were quite ditzy. Enough to cause injury to oneself if they lost their composure. I chuckled inside my soul a little as the woman recovered and her whole face turned flushed with embarrassment.

The whole room had turned their attention to the two of us. Initially it was because people here knew that I was a bit mysterious. I had arrived first, beat the tar out of so many other disciples for the sake of training. Then disappeared for a few years. Now all of a sudden I appeared again. I could feel the eyes staring at me. Admiration, wonder, awe and even desire could all be found among emotions contained within the gazes.

"Apologies Disciple Wang'er, I didn't mean to cause such a scene. Now the gazes of everyone are making this Disciple a little embarrassed." The woman behind the counter said, shakily.

"Ahahaha, don't worry about those things. They aren't staring at you. Rather it seems their gazes are fixed mostly on this Disciple. It's been some time since I've been here in the Temple. Is it possible to check my merits and exchange my items?" I said then proceeded to ask. Since I wasn't sure if this woman would want to take a rest.

"Yes of course I'll get that done for you right away Disciple Wang'er!" The woman said, bowing again.

*Poof* Her face landed in a stack of soft furs. All of which were pulled from my storage ring.

"You can stop that bowing deeply thing you're doing. I am not my father, so please just treat me as a Disciple of the Void Temple. I don't want any of you to hurt yourselves trying to placate me for no reason." I sighed slightly.

"I see then in that case I will take care of the exchange. Are these the items you wish to exchange?" The woman asked politely.

"No, I have more. I just didn't want to miss her figure. So I only took these things out first." I said, letting out a slight cough.

"Well then I can attest to the quality of these furs personally. They will all exchange for a large amount of merits. Why don't you bring out the remaining materials." The woman said, seemingly blushing more as her face grew a more pleasant red.

I began taking out the materials and resources that I had found. The looks of everyone in the Hall slowly turned to shock.

"Is this… everything you have to exchange Disciple Wang'er? It's quite a lot already." The woman muttered after seeing the giant piles of items.

"Actually, I think it will be easier if I use this instead. There is still quite a bit more where this came from." I said pulling out a storage ring and placing all of the items inside of it.

After putting all of the items in the ring I hand it over to the Woman behind the counter. She took it with a clearly forced smile. A smile that turned to shock as she quickly realized that the ring was full.

"Disciple Wang'er wouldn't happen to have more things to exchange would he?" The Woman asked astounded at the sight of wealth before her.

"Well for the other things I could hand over… I need another space ring to use for this. That one there was my last spare." I said, frankly.

Everyone in the room had a sudden case of falling down. They fell backwards and laughed at the degree of wealth I displayed. Also… I kinda did my regular thing of scratching my head. This apparently gave a cute aura to those close enough.

"Here, use this then. It is a space ring we use for these matters. It's free to use so you don't need to worry about the cost. You adorable little guy." The Woman said, now realizing the real reason she was attracted to me.
