Father's Guidance

I must say using this Thunder Port Ability really makes it easier to travel. It's far easier now that I'm not lugging anyone along. I wonder how far I can go if I max this skill out? I see, perhaps I could even jump… no that's too far. I won't think about performing such lofty feats. For now I need to arrive at the Thunder Typhoon. It's time I give the senior the burial she wished for. I only hope… That this is enough to satisfy her wishes.

~~A few moments later~~

*Crackle & Crash*

I arrived at the place where the Void Worlds Thunder Typhoon was. A super massive storm that constantly flashed with lightning. And churned the ocean waves, making the sea akin to rivers rapids. I remember a bit about MOAS… Mother Of All Storms. Hurricanes, Typhoons and Monsoons. All of these storms were known to be so powerful that they would cause some irreparable damage. Storms that had the power to lower temperatures and make the seas rage with violent energy. They even gave birth to Tornadoes creating spirals of water that would destroy everything in their way.

"This place is quite beneficial to you. Are you planning to refine this thing?" Yang Kai's voice ran out and a hand was placed on my shoulder.

"Yes and no father. The senior who bestowed the Thunder Temple to this Son, She requested to have her burial in a place with a great deal of lightning Qi. I had heard of this place while staying at the Purple Phoenix Palace and thought this would be a good spot for her." I said, turning my head towards the opposite shoulder. And saw my father Yang Kai floating in the air next to me.

"En… I see. Are you certain that senior wished for you to place her here? Why don't you think about it for a bit." Yang Kai said, with meaningful eyes. It felt like he was teaching me something that I wouldn't have thought of.

"Then this son will do as father says." I said, with a calm gaze.

"Good, I'm curious to see the results. Don't keep this father waiting too long." Yang Kai said, waving his hand.

I floated there in the air and pondered my seniors' words. From the very beginning to the very end. I went over them many times. Attributing every cipher I could think of and came up with… Nothing. I went inside my Knowledge Sea to look for an answer. However, there were no more hidden bits of information. It was all… like a… I got it.

"Father, this son has figured something out." I said, quickly coming to and cupping my hands.

"Oh! That's good, very good. So tell this father what it is you've discovered." Yang Kai smirked at the idea that his son was a faster learner.

"The place that Senior Fang Qing spoke of was not a physical place. Rather it was the Knowledge Sea of Cultivator that possessed the Lightning True Body. The gift she left behind to the successor combined with her words from before make this quite clear. Perhaps this is why I felt a slight problem when I arrived here. As if I had found the place I had been searching for. But it wasn't in front of me. Rather… It was me." I said.

"Good! This is likely what that cultivator had left behind. So you should refine Fang Qing's remains when you find your way to the Sub-Tree. I'm sure you'll gain great benefits from this practice. So go and cultivate. I look forward to seeing how strong my son gets to be in the future." Yang Kai said, patting me on the back.

"Then this son will go… Would it be a problem if I refine that thing over there father?" I asked, pointing towards the Thunder Typhoon in the distance.

"Go and do what you need. That thing will naturally regenerate and grow back to size once again. Just make sure you leave some of it behind." Yang Kai said, before vanishing into thin air. He clearly had business to take care of elsewhere.

I flew into the Thunder Typhoon and began comprehending the Dao of Thunder, and cultivated. I quickly found a good place. The Energy was at its peak density. A truly massive amount of Thunder and Wind Qi.

~~2 weeks later~~

I advanced to the 4th stage of the Immortal Ascension Realm. The strength of the Storm was still unchanged. This piqued my interest. Just how much can I drain from the Never ending storm here… the Thunder Typhoon.

I continued to adjust the energy I was refining from the Thunder Typhoon. It seemed like an infinite wealth of Qi. The more energy I took and refined the more I could take. It was an odd situation that kept on repeating day after day.

"So this is the power of the Open Heaven Realm. One starts as an Emperor Realm to then be able to nurture hundreds or even thousands of Emperor Realms and countless other cultivators and living beings. That breakthrough must really be something. I wonder what kind of powerful Thunder Qi will come from that breakthrough." I thought as the Qi in my body surged and flowed.

I had been splitting the energy up into 3 equal parts. Each went to feed a particular thing. First was the part that refined my body to increase the strength of my True Body. Second was to feed my own internal True Qi. Third was to fuel the growth of my monster race core, my Dragon Core.

The last benefit this place had for me was quite good. With every passing breath my understanding of the Dao of Thunder increased more and more rapidly. I could feel that I was quickly comprehending a new method. A new attack. Something… Massive and dangerous. An attack that could sway the flow of battle.

Lightning sparked… Arced… And seemed to swim through the sky. Occasionally splitting off and forming a vast array of smaller bolts. Like branches of a tree.

"That's it!" I exclaimed into the Thunder Typhoon
