Night-Love City Again (3)

~~The Statues Square~~

"This is a nice place. The atmosphere here is quite good. Warm and welcoming." Huo Lei said, with slightly widened eyes.

"Indeed, the area around my statue is quite good. I'll have to give the City Lord some good credit. This is better than I imagined when I requested that small… Big business… I see, so that's why people are hardly ever leaving this city. That alchemist specialty has been growing in popularity quite a bit." I said, glancing at what was supposed to be a small building originally.

"I love how pretty the decorations are. It's quite the great place to have lovers get in the mood." Huo Lei said with a smirk.

~~A little bit further away~~

There was a group of children that were handing out flowers to all the couples they saw. It was something they liked to do. The environment here was designed with the idea of love and procreating. Not based on lust and fornication. So with the combination of the environment, the special Alchemists shop, the inexpensive goods in the shops and the smiles on the children's faces. It was as perfect as it could get.

"Hey, hey, doesn't the man in that couple there look like the man in the statue?" One of the children asked, their friends drawing their attention, as well as the attention of the couples they had just been speaking to.

"He does, he really does! Oh my, husband, you were one of the people in the city who got the chance to hear the Young Master speak. Is that the Young Master?" A woman asked, turning to her husband.

The two were newly wed so hearing 'Husband' made the man blush with some embarrassment. "When I last saw the Young Master 15 years ago. He could only be at most 15 or 16 years old. So it would be difficult to tell for sure from a glance. However, I doubt there is anyone in all of Void World aside from the Young Master who could have a Woman from the Monster Race on his arm. It should be him…" The man explained a little into his thoughts.

"Let's go see if it's him!" One of the children said running off.

"Hey no fair! I wanna meet him too!" The others chased after.

~~Back to Huo Lei~~

We were standing near the statue holding each other closely. When the first of the group came up to us.

"Hello Sir, and miss. My friends and I go around to all the couples in the square and give them flowers for their visit. I have purple lily flowers and my friends have some other ones. Please take it." The child said, holding out a purple lily flower. Quite embarrassed and nervous.

I smiled warmly and received the flower. "You're a well mannered child. Though it is reckless to approach strangers alone. You should be more careful. It would have been terrible if someone bad took advantage of the situation." I said, patting the child's head with a smile and a tone of concern in my voice.

"Sir is right. But Sir is different. How could the man with that statue be a bad person?" The Child smiled and pointed towards the statue in the center of the square.

"Husband, it seems it wasn't that hard for this child to figure you out." Huo Lei giggled.

Taking the lily flower I placed it in Huo Lei's hair. "It looks great on you." I said, gently caressing Huo Lei's cheek.

"Well of course it does, Husband. You wouldn't give me something without it being perfect for me. Oh and the way you treated the child… Well, the counter has just gone up." Huo Lei said, quickly and unyielding in her words.

"Ah… well that's. I understand and will certainly fulfill my wife's wishes." I said with a smirk on my face pulling her body close to mine and staring into her eyes with our foreheads pressed together.

"Awe! So beautiful!" One of the other children said finally catching up.

"So did you find out if he really was the Statue Sir?" Another one of their friends asked running up.

"It really is him! It really is the man that father spoke of. He said that the man in the Statue was powerful, kind and inspiring! I want to be like him in the future!" The child said, with bright eyes.

"The Young Master has grown quite a bit since the last time I saw him." The man from earlier said walking up and cupping his hands.

"Greetings Young Master, It is an honor to meet you. The one who thought of organizing this whole place and even took down the Supreme Elder of that Evil Sect. It is an honor to see such a figure." The woman next to the man said, greeting me with her hands cupped as well.

"It seems the men that stayed behind at that have grown as well. You have done well for yourself. That's good, May you have a good life together." I said, giving them a warm greeting. "As far as what I have done in the past. I am still but just one man. With one pair of hands. I was only able to deal with the enemy at that time because of my unique ability and the many Disciples of my Void World working together against a plague upon this world. Giving the credit for such a feat to this one alone is simply too much." I explained plainly.

"Of course, Young master is right, this one misspoke. Please forgive my negligence." The woman said, now slightly nervous. "I accidently made him upset." She thought.

"It's nothing too big so let this small thing be nothing. And forget about it. However, if you still feel bad even after this, then you can keep that husband of yours in line." I chuckled lightly, to show it wasn't anything serious.

The woman looked up in surprise and saw my peaceful smile. Then I understood what it was I wanted from the very beginning. "This one thanks the Young Master for his lesson. And I will make sure to keep my husband in line." She replied.
