Daybreak Departs

"DEAL!" I exclaimed and cupped my hands to officialize it. "Grandpa Zhong, I'm afraid I'll have to request that Grandpa Ding will have to come along. If we think about it logically, isn't he the best choice? When he reaches the 9th rank, what would the Blue Sky Pass have to fear? And with his immunity to the Ink Force, he can fight much more effectively." I explained, completely ignoring the deal.

"Humph, Do what you want then. I won't say anything more. You should go and take care of your experiments. Give the members of Dawn Squad one of those tokens you created before this fancy… What did you call this new Artifact?" Zhong Liang said, then asked, stroking his beard in thought.

"For me, it's called the Thunder Shock Surprise. It's one that will tailor to the one who crafted it. I'm not too incredible when it comes to refining the Artifact recipes. Good at making them, poor at fixing them. So this recipe can only be used by the person who will do the infiltrating and it will have a different result person to person. Perhaps the Grandmaster could give it a whirl. But I'll verify a couple of things in this battle, which will determine some more things." I explained.

"Hmm… Go on and figure out what it is you need to and then come back. I have another mission for you as soon as you get back." Zhong Liang said, caving at the sight of my overly excited face. "Yang Kai, You are hereby ordered to gather your Team and depart at once. The Army Commander Ding Yao is going with you. And the Garrison will remain on standby in the event you need to retreat. Your target is going to be the Deep Claw Domain. Belonging to Deep Claw Territory Lord. May the winds of victory bless you." He continued and then flew off.

"Forgive me father for getting too excited. It's just been…" I said, with my hands cupped.

"Don't worry about it. I've been quite anxious too. I haven't vented enough from when the Ink Clan first targeted you. And you seem to have something new eating a massive amount of your energy. I fear you're going to need a nearly endless supply of energy when you attempt to break through to the Open Heaven Realm." Yang Kai said, wearing a similar face as I.

"Father's guess is right. And I have a feeling you'll need to open your small Universe while I become a great emperor. So be prepared for that in the event you need to. We could use it as a way to show the process." I said, basically confirming several questions my father had, ever since I became a 3rd Order Origin King.

"Then let's get going! We have a Territory Lords Domain to beat down. Ah! I can't wait to smash its face in." Ding Yao said.

Feng Ying pulled out the Daybreak. Everyone boarded the Ship and then we began flying towards the Deep Claw Domain. Only activating the Arrays when the threat of attack was imminent. Aside from that I was surrounding the ship in my Thunder Sphere. This way I could collect and transform as much of the Ink Force as I could get.

"Yang Kai, your son never ceases to amaze me. If only I had a daughter, or even a female disciple. I'd marry her to him as soon as the opportunity presented itself. I've heard he treats his women right, and he is an absolute genius. No master could go wrong with such a proposal." Ding Yao said, hanging his arm around Yang Kai's shoulders. "Hmm… there seems to be something off though. Like he is destined to suffer a curse of some kind. Just how many evil people cursed him?" He asked curiously.

"More than I care to admit. And it wasn't small. That's why I'm going to keep an eye on him this whole time. I'd appreciate you doing the same. And don't get involved in battles that we won't need any help with. Save your strength for the battle with the Territory Lord. If a second arrives, I'll help you. But for now it's best for Senior, to remain vigilant." Yang Kai said, narrowing his eyes, at the arm.

"I get it. You are quite the doting father. Very well, I will personally make sure that young Leiji does not suffer any misfortune on this trip. I'd never hear the end of it, if something happened to him anyway. Now then, why don't ask that question that's on your mind." Ding Yao said, removing his arm.

"I'm curious how the information of required Reinforcements get back to the Cave Heavens and Paradises? I don't see any way that it's possible for the moment. Is it convenient for Senior Ding Yao to say?" Yang Kai asked.

"This… no one has told you then. We usually send a runner with the message. Well… several runners that is. Since the area around the No-Return Pass is… not known to be hospitable to us. Sometimes we send a comparable 7th rank phoenix instead when times are really tough. So when they see a phoenix showing up they already know its bad news." Ding Yao whispered.

"Then I have a request. My son is going to require a massive source of energy for his cultivation. And given his talents I know he can use it. So I'd like him to be given permission to return to the 3000 Worlds with the letter. When the time comes of course. And for him to be allowed the chance to stay there and use this source of energy that only he can use." Yang Kai mentioned.

"I see… so there is already a plan in your mind. Well I can't promise anything on my own. That decision is left to the Old Ancestors to make. I can, however, suggest that he gets that chance. How's that? Oh, and I'll let him take those he wants back with him. His wives shouldn't be here now." Ding Yao said.

"Then I'll have to trouble Senior. And thank him for this in advance. I wonder how beat up that energy source will be when I see it next." Yang Kai chuckled a little at the thought of it.
