Homeward Bound (3)

"Ahahaha! It's been a while since I've seen that Disciple so flustered. It's a good thing." Six Wood Divine Monarch laughed. "It truly is a good thing, to have such hope in this darkness. I feel I've understood a few things about the nature of your power, Young Man. Great power…" He started then shook his head. "You already know the other half of that. Or you wouldn't be here right now." He added with a knowing smirk.

"Indeed, my power's nature. Is the only one capable of truly beating back the Source of the Ink Clan, Ink." I said, clenching my fist. "However, as I am now… I have no hope of defeating a Giant Spirit God, let alone Ink, who can create them. I have quite a ways to go." I said, relaxing my fist.

"Hmm, that battle must have been quite stressful. I do hope to see your strength rise. I'll ignore that comment about the Giant Spirit Gods. I can't comprehend defeating an Old Ancestor or Royal Lord, let alone one of those things. Do not let this trap get you down…" Six Wood said, taking his leave before finishing his words and before waiting for my response.

"Heh, if anything I got to test out an ability I've been working on. Such precious few chances to work on it. Unfortunately, it was too weak at the moment." I sighed. "I really do need to break through. I've reached the absolute pinnacle of power a Great Emperor could even theoretically possess. So I must take a step into the next realm. Earth Element is up next… Should be pretty easy." I said, stretching again. "But I suspect I've got a few responsibilities lined up once we return home." I added with a half hearted yawn.

"Husband, you should let Sister Su Yan and Leiji talk. He can take control of the ship. We have to discuss all the plans for the future with you." Yu Ru Meng said. "Especially with how to deal with all the inevitable injuries that were suffered as a result of the order Leiji gave." She added.

"Hmm, I just assumed he was going to snap his fingers and everything would be fine. Isn't that right, Leiji?" Yang Kai said, turning to look at me. "You wouldn't cause problems without solutions now would you?" He chuckled.

"Of course not. And I have plenty of ability to heal the injuries. However, I refuse to heal Zhuo Bu Qun's Injuries. I would still refuse this even if both you and Mother ordered me to do so." I said, calmly. Then glared daggers over to Mo Sha, and then motioned for him to sit down. "Please, have a nice long chat." I said with that smile, the smile that screamed "don't defy me, it won't end well".

"Ahahaha, I wouldn't dream of healing that guy. Daring to lift a hand against family… Utterly deplorable. He should be sent to the battlefield as soon as possible and made to atone by killing the enemy." Yang Kai said, leaving the deck and entering a private chamber.

"Hmm, should I be making the deal with Yang Kai? Now that he is out of seclusion?" Mo Sha asked, a little confused.

"Oh, that's where you're wrong. He may have come out. But he has not made any statement to officially take back the seat of Palace Master. This run-in with the Ink Clan should be considered an… emergency action." I explained, sipping my tea.

"I see. I guess that makes sense. Though I'd have a hard time accepting it, if I hadn't already seen what you can do." Mo Sha Divine Monarch sighed, as he poured himself a cup.

"Hmm, it must have been a while since you've poured your own tea. You're a bit shaky. Are you just rusty? Or is it that you're afraid of what I might demand?" I said, sending Daybreak in motion.

A slow pace but enough to return in a month. Afterall, there isn't a real need for me to move the ship faster. The meaning, or purpose in my doing this, was somehow the one thing that Mo Sha picked up on quite easily.

"I'm afraid I don't know how I could make a proper apology. Surely killing 3 Territory Lords isn't enough. And honestly even if I gave you an endless source of meat for 100 years it still feels… Too small." Mo Sha Divine Monarch said.

"You do know, that isn't the only thing you've got to apologize for, right?" I said, with a narrow look, holding my cup right below eye level.

"Indeed, I have another matter I must find an apology for. But that matter is different from you. I don't wish to make any deals that would dishonor the apology, I shall come up with something myself." Mo Sha Divine Monarch said, with a slight pause.

"Good, now. You seem to think that eating good food to clean a palate isn't worth it. If you can endure my test and still say this. Then I will believe you. It's not like there aren't numerous things I could get out of deals with you. But I'd rather not be greedy. It's not really my speed." I said, pulling out a box.

"I'll take the test. What is it?" Mo Sha said, asking.

"If you can eat the contents of this box and not vomit. Then also say you don't need to cleanse your palate, I'll ask you for something worth a little bit more to you." I said with a smile.

"Got it!" Mo sha said, taking the box.

He opened it and then gave me a look of utter bewilderment. I simply nodded with a smile. Su Yan just sipped her tea, completely unbothered.

"Very well then. Down the gullet…" Mo Sha said…

The look on Mo Sha's face went from perfectly normal to horrifically sick, in an instant. As if on instinct he vomited the whole thing into an endless pot, someone had brought over.

"So, how was it? Quite flavorful right?" I said, with that same smile.

"That was down right… VILE!!!!" Mo Sha yelled out. Downing the tea, even from the teapot.

"Good, now. Magnify that by several orders of infinity. And that is what it's like to fight the Ink Clan as a Dragon or Phoenix. Using biting mixed in our attacks." I said.

"I… I understand. Meat is the only thing that can chase this flavor away." Mo Sha said, still trembling at the sensation on his tongue.
