Into the Illusion Corridors

I leaped back, trying to catch my breath, and steadied myself as Lieutenant Shiro came closer. His eyes were fixed on mine, cold and calculating. I knew I had to keep my guard up if I wanted to survive this encounter.

It seemed Shiro was intent on stopping us from our goal of saving Mari and defeating the Ironclad General.

"You're not as easy to beat as I thought," Shiro said, a smirk playing on his lips. "But it's not over yet. I'll finish you off soon enough."

I clenched my fists and narrowed my eyes, ready to face him again. However, before we could continue our fight, a loud noise echoed throughout the fortress. Shiro looked towards the source of the noise, and I took the opportunity to regroup with Saki and Kaito.

As we walked through the seemingly normal corridors, my companions and I noticed subtle changes in their layout. Saki pointed out the shifting walls and the way the light seemed to bend in unnatural ways.
