Synopsis

"I stress repeatedly, the attitude of the Cultivation World is inherently distorted, not because I distorted it. They say history is written by the victors, so why am I still constantly slandered even after I've won?" Lu Yang Sword Immortal said so angrily in an interview with the reporter.

This is my second review for this novel, because my frist one didn't do the novel justice. After reading up to chapter 170 I have to recommend you this! It's hard to undestand, that this novel isn't ranked higher... The novel is obviously mainly focused on comedy, which strongly reminds me of Cultivation Chat Group. BUT it's not using the same jokes or character personalitys , it has it's own unique touch. Translation: The translation is far better than most novels of similar genres (obv. mtl). There are errors but they are few and far in between. It does not affect the flow of reading in any way. They don't switch between the name of realms or use the wrong pronoun/gender. Updates: No problems at all. Pretty frequent. Story develoment: As mentioned above the story has a heavy focus on comedy with many mini arcs, wich are all unique, enjoyable and funny. You notice the author is having fun writing it and makes it really interesting. As a fellow review said: spontaneous, random and witty. Problems are solved in unexpected ways that go against the norm. Cultivation realms are almost standard: Qi refining, Foundation Building, Colden core etc. But there are exception which play a focus in one of the arcs i really enjoyed. Character design: Well, frankly I love them all. Everyone has a "special" personality which contributes to the story. Especially the sect of the mc, which outsiders regard as a bunch of weirdos and they really are :D From Elders, disciples to sect master, they are all unique in their own way. No stereotype or annoying charecters. Everyone is pretty chill, no arrogant young master, no heaven defying beauty trope. World Background: It's pretty simple and easy to understand. The author gave a broad overview of the world. But till now the storys focus lays on only one part of the continent with many others to discover (other races, powers etc.). I don't want to spoiler, but the reason why the world is how it is is still not explained; the author only gave a little teaser (connected to the main storyline). Well thats it, thanks for reading and sorry for my grammar, I'm no natives speaker :)

This story is amazing. Funny, interesting, light-hearted and witty. You won’t be a single trashy trope (in fact this story is so spontaneous and random, it’s too funny). 5/5 story

Read to 1164, afterwards its all locked behind privilege, and has been that way for the past month. Great light hearted story, very funny at times with more than a few unexpected twists. This is a comedy novel, so don't expect lots of suffering for the MC. Again, the focus is on comedy, so you won't get much tension as MC is smart and usually catches whats going on way way early, instead, you'll be hooked because of the various shenanigans MC or their elders are getting into to deal with the baddies.

Incredible funny story. The mc and every character introduced have such unique personalities and it’s amazing how the author was able to take typical cultivation cliches and add some hilarious bizarre twist to it. The mc himself is really strong for his level but the best part for me is his unique way of solving problems that end up being so funny. I think just reading till they finish the entrance exams for the sect can give you a general understanding of how the story progresses and I promise if you laugh/enjoy the entrance exam you’ll love the rest of the story.

The best cultivation novel I have ever read, there’s not a single boring chapter or overused trope in it. Even the translation is top notch, truly a hidden gem. Keep up the good work authour!!!

This has been a great read, although there are some translation problems, it's not that bad. Overall this is one of the best cultivation novels I read. I strongly recommend it to everyone to try. Translation: 3/5 - There are problems in gender and names. Though you can still read through it, it breaks the immersion. Characters: 6/5 - Every character is unique, probably one of the only few that gives personality to every character in the novel, from the side characters to even the background characters. I also appreciate that the author doesn't just use the characters one time and forget about them which a lot of long running novels do. And while the MC is smart it doesn't come at a cost making everyone in his surroundings dumb, in fact most of the characters are smart or if not, just naive. World building : 5/5 Amidst all the shenanigans that are happening you can feel a really flesh out world. You can really feel the meticulous work of the author in making this. The amazing part of this is that the world is slowly unraveled as you follow Lu Yang's adventure and not just infodump you. The MC is just a part of the world and even if they remove him the world will still continue to be interesting. Also, this is the first time I saw in a novel a government having good governance (aside from governance specific novels) and not useless, so much so that the most feared by most cultivators are TAXES *shiver*. Plot: 7/5 - For a comedy novel I did not expect it to have this much thought put into it. Everything feels progressive and not forced. There's even small bits and pieces of foreshadowing that later became a major plot in the end game. Overall it has a simple plot but the way the author told the story is what makes this novel shine. Comedy: 10/5 - One of the BEST comedies I've read. It basically pokes fun at every cultivation tropes imaginable, it also brought a new perspective to it that makes you think "huh, that's a good point "

This is my first novel review, and I'm sincere, not a bot. I even love the Lord of the Mysteries but never rated it! This novel is a hidden gem. Don't take it too seriously. While it uses a standard cultivation power system, the leveling seems fast-paced and is genuinely funny. (foundation establishment at ch 30) The humor is subtle and well-foreshadowed; the author doesn't just throw in jokes but plants them carefully, making the payoff much funnier. There are even implicit inside jokes between characters. The MC is talented, but not overwhelmingly so, acknowledging that there are 'heavens above heavens.' He's mischievous, and so is everyone else. (its a situation where everyone else isn't an npc they all seem like the main characters)in The character design is top-notch, capturing how I'd imagine cultivators who defy the heavens to be: looking down on others, not just because of power, but because of a perceived 'misery' or lack of perspective. The characters have unique temperaments that go beyond simple descriptions like 'pretty' or 'handsome'; their speech and thought processes are broader than those of ordinary people. I wish more cultivation novels were like this. At the very least, it's a great book to pass the time, but for me, it's peak comedy. The only other novel I can think of that compares is 'My Senior Brother is Too Steady. alas, the world background was info dump didn't like that lol. also, he apparently is a transmigrator, but we don't get to know too much. Also, as usual, the great xia empire and Chinese propaganda are slightly there. Like this or comment if want me to update my review

I enjoyed reading this book a lot, so much so that I ended up reading the whole book within a week (that was a lot of coins, lol) but jokes aside, this book has just the right combination of comedy and fantasy cultivation for me, such that the story doesn't end up taking itself too seriously or just end up becoming a comedy script without anything else underneath it. Honestly, I was getting tired of the same old cultivation stories with the no-nonsense approach to the story and without any moments for joyous laughter. I was sceptical coming into this one, but I was genuinely surprised and had a really good time laughing at the various events in this story. The translation is excellent at the beginning but goes down a notch a bit towards to the end, what I mainly noticed was the names getting moved around but with the context in the story it's pretty easy to figure out what was meant. I'm not a guy who frequently does reviews, all I can say is that I enjoyed this story enough to leave a review and that I wholeheartedly recommend anyone who is considering this story to give it a try, I'm surprised that the story isn't more popular. P.S. Can we get more side stories, please.. lol
