Synopsis

In the year 2139, the world changed. Fundamentally and irrevocably.

Everything happened too quickly. The sky cracked like an egg and armored dinosaur-like monsters lurched out of the fissure. The split, though small at first, quickly widened. Within a few short hours, these beasts had overrun the world.

Countries, even those who had been enemies for centuries, sounded a global alarm. Political differences were cast aside as humans scrambled to find a solution—any solution—to what became known as the Great Disaster 1.0.

Human experimentations began, first in reluctance, then in earnest. As days turned into weeks and weeks into months, failure rates remained high. Desperate for results, global authorities started turning a blind eye to how experimental subjects were sourced.

Countless victims were kidnapped and trafficked to state-run laboratories. Shi Tian was but one of them. But unlike those who died nameless, in pain, and unrecognizable, he had the fortune of surviving after being injected with humanity’s last hope—an integrated chip.

Except… the chip remained dormant. It seemed that certain circumstances must be met before the chip could be activated. What those circumstances were, even the scientists in charge could not answer.

Alright theres only a few chapters and its still the early stages, but there are some good things to note about the novel: 1)The background the author created for Shi Tian and Sheng Lan was not an info dump like most stories,it fitted in naturally with the narrative of the first chapter although it was a brief mention. 2)The imagery is quite vivid even from the short descriptions which is more prefferable than long descriptions that simply look like bulky text,The environment and world can be visualized quite clearly. 3)The MC thus far shows rational and calm thinking, definitely more likeable than some wn standard brainless MC, and he exudes a an appreciative sense of maturity. It fits with the passive skill he is given. 4)The author is just getting started, there is so much more to explore and i am thrilled to see how mysteries will unravel and the origins of the Great Disaster, The author has dropped subtle points as the event occurred, so i look forward to seeing how some truths will unfold 5)There is much for the MC to develop and grow and i can't help but anticipate the next moves and turns, the novel definitely deserves a read. BEST OF LUCK. ~The content of this review was written in complete safety and by the reviewer's will, sincerely not threatened by the Mafia.

It's been almost 4 months, so I supposed it's time for me to write a review and let you all know what you're supposed to expect and not to expect in this novel. 1. Is this a heavy sci-fi element? Yes, it's meant to be a heavy sci-fi element, but if you haven't seen much of it yet, then please do be patient about it. I'm writing hard to develop things slowly and not just speed run or write hastily which could ruin the storyline. 2. Is the novel going to be about Mechanic? Yes, the main character, Shi Tian, also known as Nathan (alias), is a mechanic and more detailed explanation and aspect regarding the mechanic path would be explained as you gradually read more. 3. World building/info dumping? Yes and no, the world is still being constructed despite having 200chs+ already. I don't like to simply write a whole chunk of text filled with the world and info dumping, but gradually revealed them bits by bits, allowing the readers to digest the information. 4. Action-packed? Definitely, what kind of sci-fi doesn't have action packed? Keep in mind that the action/fighting would be different than most novels, given it's a Sci-fi, so weapons are advanced and might not even exist (at least in this current era), so don't attempt to go "how is this possible" or "that's impossible" on technologies that seemed far-fetched. 5. Romance Element? Currently not the main focus of the novel, so don't expect to see lovely-dovey moment or cute moment. There would be interactions between the Main character and numerous female characters, but the number will be kept in a ratio similar to the Main character interaction with other male characters. 6. I seemed to have read this kind of novel before... If you have this sense of deja vu, then you aren't wrong if you have read "The Legendary Mechanic" novel before. This novel is inspired from it, so there are elements that are similar, but the plotline is completely different. TLDR: Thank you for reading the novel, and I hope you enjoyed it. If you have any questions, feel free to comment below, but note, I might not give a clear answer for your questions depending on what it is.

If you want a no nonsense sci-fi dystopia, this is your book. The author doesn't waste your time and drops you straight into the action. There's a lot of interesting stuff right off the bat, especially the world. It's a typical futuristic apocalypse, but there is nothing wrong with that. MC is not superpowered, yet, at least, though he does seem to be set up to become pretty darn scary later. He is a normal guy with a well-thought out background, someone that I don't mind rooting for. Also, don't be quick to attach to any characters, because so far, people don't tend to stay around for very long. There's a lot of tension in the world, but that's what keeps it exciting! Keep reading, and the author will keep writing. I'm excited to see the story develop!

So, we start with a big brother and a little sister facing an great upheaval. The first chapter was q little confusing I believe. things happened to fast, not even enough time to start even caring for the mc and his sister then bam Apocalypse. at the same time the advantage is that things happen fast but not so fast you start to curse. This is a weak to strong story with mc starting very week. But anyone who likes survival, apocalypse and so on while appreciate. This reminds me Gods and Devils (without the racism obviously) or The movie residence Evil. I believe this story has great potential

Chapter 141 here The novel is overall good, the pacing is somewhat slow but bearable. I gave this novel 5 stars because I'm biased to Sci Fi novel but also it's possibilities to be one of those novels in top 10 ranks. The only thing bad here is the fillers and the irrelevant chapters in the story aside from giving the MC it's characteristics it's nothing aside from having it somewhat connection to the current story. What takes this novel from taking off the charts from other novel is the MC "INDEPENDENCE". it's not like other novels where MC learn from academy or other sect he participated from but becoming an apprentice to one individual under a brand name. Spoon feeding MC resources and gears takes away the novelty of Appreciation and Fulfillment. Unlike the Mech Touch even though it's expansive chapters, the novel pace and situation is a "Meh" for me. I'll even read the long chapter/fillers of mech touch explaining how he makes the machine works in special way than to his peers. How taxing and hard to start his own Company without help from outside. How unfavorable the situation is despite taking deals that only have short term benefits. it's way better when things progress in his direction. The fulfillment of seeing the creation bearing fruit is front of your eyes is hard to describe. To tell you the truth I skip and skim some the chapters (141) I read in your novel. like the in depth interaction of Vanessa and MC and the conversation of Mary and MC. So far I'm a little disappointed, his main class is mechanic but we only see him do repairs, learning (I don't what ge is learning aside from bits of information). One creation process but still spoonfed him. I don't feel any exciting feeling when reading Sci Fi novels. I think the biggest flaw here is "MC really doesn't have anything that his, he didn't create something special only for him" he don't have "Independence, to explore and experience and innovate his creation" that's why the legendary mechanic is good since he is independent entity and mech touch top tier since MC walking his own path of mech designer. Your MC is still doesn't have an identity aside from seeing his main class is mechanic. MC I feel still not mechanic in my eyes.

As of chapter 240, there has only been a few chapters related to crafting. Most crafting related stuff is glanced over with minimal information on what's going on.To me the mechanic class is more about crafting but this story in my opinion is mostly just drama.

The story is good. No issues with writing quality either. My only complaint is that the protagonist has a crappy personality. Goes out of his way to avoid helping anyone. Doesn't matter if they're good or bad or if they've helped him in the past. "Not my problem" and "too much trouble" seem to be his primary thoughts. Even when he does help someone, he demands payment for the most inconsequential things. I prefer a good protagonist who actually wants to help people and be a good person
