“Dom, have you ever seen nights like this?”

They were looking up into the starry sky of a dark night. Away from the noisy, busy life of the city, the place they were at seemed peaceful.

Maki didn’t remember when was the last time she had such an experience. And from the looks of it, “Dominic” didn’t remember either.

Perhaps his amnesia was a blessing, after all. To be spared from the harsh truth and a wife that probably didn’t love him anymore, she hoped that this would be his eternal happiness. Only that she didn’t believe in eternity. In the world she and her brother existed in, there were no limits to what could happen in science and technology. She wasn’t a scientist like Colton, but an analyst. Still, being with her brother just exposed her to the many wonders in his area of work.
