With hesitant steps and a kitchen knife in hand, Claire makes her way to the storeroom where the noise came from. The lights in the tiny room were off as usual yet the soft wind hitting her nose tells her that she had forgotten to shut the window. As she walks over to the window, the door shuts close behind her, making her yelp and turn around. She isn't alone. Before she could think of her next move, the brunette is pinned to the wall behind her by a firm grip on her neck.
She couldn't see the face of her attacker but his strong scent of rain mixed with the metallic smell of his blood hits her nostrils. Claire could tell the Rogue is smirking with his face so close to hers and as his grip tightens on her throat, her air supply gets cut short. Her lips quiver only to say one word, "..Mate..."

I glance at Nadia as the high ranked male makes himself comfortable on the chair beside me. There's only us three in the cafe now and the silence lingering is enough to make the tiny hair at the back of my neck stand.


"Well, I'll start then", the male smiles as he speaks in his soft tone which contrasts with his usual authoritative voice he uses when commanding others.


"I'm Julian, Julian Kasel", he introduces before meeting my gaze and I clutch my shirt underneath the table. "Your turn?", he gestures with his hand for me to go on.


"I...", clearing my throat, I continue, "I'm Claire... Claire Skylar..." The Alpha nods before looking at the redhead.


"Nadia...Nadia Mcgloave...", she answers and the male seems satisfied before he places his elbows on the table and leans a bit forth.
