7 THE JOURNEY BEGINS

Just as the father had said, the carriage left them at the exit of the kingdom, so from now on they depended on themselves.

that's how they left the human kingdom....beginning their adventure.

After having left them at the exit of the kingdom, Kuro and Tamy began to walk, both seeing the outskirts of the human kingdom.

the only thing there was was a large piece of land with green grass and in the distance a large leafy forest.

so kuro proceeded to take out the map that the father had given him in order to follow the correct path.

kuro: according to the map we must go through the forest

tamy: w-we have to h-do it

kuro: it is the fastest way to reach an abandoned village where we can spend the night to be able to continue the next day

At Kuro's words, Tamy took a little more confidence since she knew that the boy would protect her no matter what happened, plus they had to follow the fastest path before something bad happened.

so the girl took Kuro's hand, surprising him by Tamy's action, and then they both began to walk towards that forest.

meanwhile in the kingdom.

we can see captain cold in his office surrounded by some gentlemen.

cold: they let her escape

soldier: n-no s-sir, t-the knights of the church arrived before us and took her with them

cold: you mean...THEY LET A PURE-BLOODED ELF ESCAPE!

that captain cold's anger is simply because when a slave seller was discovered and arrested, he sends his knights to capture the rare races that are there and then sell them and take that money ..... ...besides that sometimes he kept one of these slaves for himself.

cold: what are you still doing here! ... GO FOR IT!

soldier: b-but what if there is someone with her

cold:.......kill him!.....

.

.

.

Both young men reached the entrance of the forest.

kuro: are you ready?

Tamy: mph

With a nod of the head, they both began to walk in order to enter that forest.

While they were walking, Kuro was always alert since at any moment some dangerous animal or beast could appear for them, even fall into a trap.

tamy: you don't have to be so tense, there is no danger around

kuro: how are you so sure

tamy: the forest tells me

kuro: can you talk to the forest?

tamy: in the kingdom they teach you to respect and take care of nature together with the animals so you learn to form a bond with all of these and in the end you end up feeling everything around you

Kuro: Now that you mention it, they can also talk to spirits, right?

tamy: there are very few chosen by a spirit to be able to talk to them

Kuro: I see

after that little talk they continued walking to be able to reach that village.

.

.

.

The hours went by so that morning turned into a hot afternoon, making the fatigue evident and even more so for Tamy, who looked very tired.

kuro: it's okay with you if we rest a bit

tamy: i prefer to do it when we get to the village

kuro: I don't think you can last until you reach the village, besides we don't know how long it takes to get there

Tamy knew she couldn't win this argument, so she took a seat on a nearby rock to rest.

While she was doing this, Kuro took out of her tunic that box with magic stones that her father had given him to start reviewing them.

kuro: take this

The boy extended his hand to him with a magical water stone.

kuro: don't worry, they don't have any attacks, you just have to drink from it and that's it

That was how they both sat down to be able to drink each of their magic water stone to quench her thirst.

They both remained silent, but in a comfortable silence since now they know each other a little more and the safest thing is that with the passing of days they will know each other even more.

but from one moment to another, tamy began to get nervous making kuro worry about her.

kuro: are you ok?

tamy: v-several people entered the forest

kuro: maybe they are hunters

Tamy: I don't know, but they seem dangerous and they approach us

kuro: do you know where we are?. tch!, this is getting worse and worse

One thing I knew was that I had to protect Tamy at all costs.

so standing up she began to look around her until she saw something that caught her attention.

kuro: come with me

The boy took Tamy by the hand to start walking, taking her to a tree with a hole in hers.

kuro: hide here and don't come out for anything in the world

getting tamy to safety covered that hollow tree with some leaves and branches to cover that hiding place.

The moment was tense, so Kuro quickly took several stones from the box and then put it away, so he decided to stay calm until those guys got to him.
