Following a miserable, wretched life and a tragic, untimely death, the protagonist finds himself reincarnated as a baby in a different world to the one he was in before. In this world, there are people with special powers, known as Alters.

However, Alters are a minority in this world, and are discriminated against severely. Initially believe that he doesn't possess any powers, the protagonist soon realizes that he has inherited an ancient power, a power that only one other being has previously possessed in this world.

Black Blood, the power that had originated in the Progenitor of Alters, the very first human to develop powers in this world, and from whom all existing Alters are descended from. 

Determined to avoid going through the strife and hardship of his previous life, the protagonist decides to keep his powers hidden and strive to live a peaceful life in this new world. 

But it doesn't last long, his peaceful life is shattered and he gets thrust into the cruel reality of this world, a world wracked with prejudice and conflict. And it soon becomes apparent to him, that any peace he had hoped to find in this world, he would have to fight for... 

What lies in wait for him in this new world? Will he find peace in this world, or is he destined for something darker? What's the secret behind the power of his Black Blood? There's only one way to find out...

Black Blood - The Alter World

As the red light shining from my forehead grew brighter and brighter, I concentrated the charged up energy as much as I could, before firing it straight down at the floor with as much power and momentum as I could generate.

Shards of tile broke apart and flew out as my beam crashed onto the floor, drilling through the tiles and concrete rapidly, tunneling down an opening through the floor...before suddenly, I stopped feeling any resistance against my beam, which blasted down into the hole I'd created.

A loud crash echoed out from the opening, cries of alarm ringing out as clouds of dust billowed out of the hole, before I jumped through it, plummeting down and into a large space below.

My eyes widened in disbelief as I fell through, what...what the hell is this?
