Following a miserable, wretched life and a tragic, untimely death, the protagonist finds himself reincarnated as a baby in a different world to the one he was in before. In this world, there are people with special powers, known as Alters.

However, Alters are a minority in this world, and are discriminated against severely. Initially believe that he doesn't possess any powers, the protagonist soon realizes that he has inherited an ancient power, a power that only one other being has previously possessed in this world.

Black Blood, the power that had originated in the Progenitor of Alters, the very first human to develop powers in this world, and from whom all existing Alters are descended from. 

Determined to avoid going through the strife and hardship of his previous life, the protagonist decides to keep his powers hidden and strive to live a peaceful life in this new world. 

But it doesn't last long, his peaceful life is shattered and he gets thrust into the cruel reality of this world, a world wracked with prejudice and conflict. And it soon becomes apparent to him, that any peace he had hoped to find in this world, he would have to fight for...

"How much further is it?" Inquired Ario, as we shot through the air at an incredible speed.

"Just a little under five kilometers now...well, probably much less than that since we're headed in a straight line towards the mansion, the GPS route is based on the streets, so...," I pointed out.

"Right, got it...yeah, I'm starting to recognize the area below us now. Once we reach the mansion, I'll bust in through the roof to get right into the building, we'll probably have to fight if we try to get in through the front door," He responded with a grimace.

"Let's hurry...it's getting harder and harder to ignore the chaos below us," I replied, as he fired a red beam down at an Alter who was attacking a groups of civilians.
