CHAPTER 9 : They can't be here

I was so shocked after hearing the names of the main characters.

I got goosebumps.

With a hazy mind, I unknowingly jumped out from my sit, in the middle of the graduation speech.

Nothing was coming into my mind.

I couldn't process the situation.

'Why.....? '

'I mean.....why... is my life so f*cked up?

What did I ever do to anyone, for things to go this wrong! '

Lily screamed internally.

'Why nothing goes my way! '

'I thought there was literally no reason for us to ever cross paths.'

She just wanted to run away from this situation.

"Lily, what's going on? "

"Why are you standing? "

"Sit down quickly. The speech is not over yet. "

Leo sitting next to lily, whispered to her.

But lily wasn't in a state of mind to listen to him.

Due to the fear i had made up in my mind, I just decided to run. But my legs weren't listening me.

I struggled to move. In that chaotic mess, I stumbled on my own foot and was about to fall on the hard floor.

Due to fear of hitting my head on the hard marble floor and getting hurt, I closed my eyes tightly and clenched my teeth while covering my head with both hands.

I mumbled while falling, 'why does this always happens to me? I really have a rotten luck. '

But suddenly, I felt a warmth of two hands wrapping around my body who caught me.

Those hands hugged me tightly. I could even hear that person's heartbeat.

I felt a very unknown emotion flowing through my entire body. A feeling I had never felt before.

When i looked up to see the face of that person who held me,

I saw bright golden eyes like a feral beast staring right through me ,in which I could see my reflection. A breathtakingly handsome ,tall man with a striking appearance and  slightly muscular body was holding me with his firm arms. His hair had the most beautiful and darkest shade of navy blue almost black.

For a second , it was like time stopped.

We both couldn't take our eyes of each other.

But the next second, my eyes grew wider.

I was literally shivering when I realized , that this man in front of me is was none other than Ethan.

I was unable to react to anything.

Miss....

Excuse me?

Miss?

I finally heard an alluring voice trying to capture my attention.

I shook my head wildly to come to my senses.

Ethan was calling me.

"Are you okay? "

I immediately pushed him away from me without giving him an answer.

I was so confused thinking ,'what do I do now?'

"Lily what are you doing?

Don't block the way of the guests.

Come here and sit down. Your interrupting the whole program. "

Louis said in a small voice.

I quickly got away from Ethan and sat down on my sit.

Ethan ,and Jeremy who was behind him, headed towards the stage.

From this point on ,I didn't even knew what was going on.

I was dazed the whole time. The water was all over the bridge.

After sometime,they started handing over the degrees after calling out each individual student's name.

Louis's name was called out.

He got to stage.

It was Jeremy who stood up and handed him the degree.

Watching their slightly awkward behavior, it seemed like there was something going on between them.

Well, it was obvious that ,they'll soon fall in love.

The thing I was concerned about was Ethan.

After some time,Leo also got his degree.

Then my name was called out.

My mind was elsewhere. Surprisingly, I was staring at Ethan and he was looking at my direction.

'Is he looking at Louis? ', who was sitting beside me, I thought.

Leo poked me on my sholder with his elbow to make me realize that my name was called out.

I hurriedly got up from my sit and headed toward the stage.

"Thump... Thump.... "

From an unknown feeling my heart was beating like a race horse.

Is it excitement? Fear? I couldn't tell.

I got on the stage.

Ethan took his steps towards me while looking into my eyes.

I unknowingly took a step back.

He slightly smirked.

My eyes widened.

'What..... '

'What is it now.

Why did he smirked? '

'And I know that his the main villan, but why does he looks so fu*king se*y

while smirking! '

I was always a sucker for handsome faces.

After coming into this world, there were many handsome people , but my sole focus was on my surviving. So I just ignored my inner urges.

But now, after looking at Ethan ,i don't know why but my inner pervertedness which was buried deep down was trying come out. It was fighting with the fear I had in this situation.

And I think the fear lost.

I completely forgot that he was the villain.

"And what is this aroma?

Why does he smell so good!

Did he wear a perfume?"

I thought my mouth was drooling.

I immediately covered my mouth with one hand. and extended the other hand to take my degree.

Fortunately, I wasn't drooling.

"Congratulations on your graduation, doctor lily. "

Ethan said with a deep seductive voice with a smile on his face.

Ethan handed over my degree to me. While giving me the degree, our fingers slightly brushed.

A feverish sensation ran through my entire body.

I backed up with a lightning speed, with the degree in my hand and ran out of the hall.

Huff... Huff.....

I got out the hall.

My breathing had became heavy. I was out of breath.

Maybe it was because of all the running. I thought.

Watching me running out of the hallway, Louis and Leo followed me.

"Lily? "

"Are you okay? "

"You don't look so good."

Louis asked me with a worried face.

"I'm okay, it's just due to all the running. "

"Really? "

"Yes, I just had an upset stomach from the morning. "

I couldn't tell them why I was behaving like that, so I just made up some excuse.

Leo said,"Don't overstrain yourself. "

"If your unwell, I'll take you home. "

"No no, I'm really fine now. "

"And I really don't want to ruin our after party celebration plan we made."

"Okay then, let's head back to the auditorium hall. There is still sometime for the program to end."

"No! "

I instinctively screamed.

Leo and Louis got startled and looked back at me, at the same time.

I couldn't tell about why I didn't wanted to go back there.

"Umm.... I... It..was really boring in there! "

I exclaimed, whatever excuse came to my mind.

"Can't we just stay outside till it's all over? Pleeease.... " I looked at them with puppy eyes.

"If that what you want, then okay. "

They both agreed.

When I was on the stage , my brain forgot to function that I had to be wary of this person.

But right now, after coming out of there, I became more afraid of the original plot of the story.

'Did they saw each other?

Of course, they did.

Did Ethan saw Louis?

Then ,did he fall in love? '

These thoughts were running wild in my head.

'Uh.... Whatever'

I was frustrated.

I couldn't prevent them from meeting.

I will have to keep them away from each other at all cost.
