Chapter 3

Power is determined by 3 things.

Strength

Ability

And Intelligence

If you miss even one of those components, failure is almost always going to follow you in everything you do.

"I SAID WAKE UP BITCH" a man yelled as he splashed a bucket of water on Kyra's face. Kyras eyes shot open and her eyes immediately fell to the man in front of her.

Her arms were chained above her and she was chained to the wall. She quickly looked around. She was in a small room, or maybe even some sort of cell. No windows and only a small vent for air near the ceiling.

"Nothing to say huh" the man snorted, making Kyra look back at him. "Not to a low ranking goon like you" she told him. His eyebrows lowered and his eyes turned angry. "I'll show you a low ranking goon" he said as he put his arm back and went to punch her.

"That's enough 168" a man said entering the room and making the man stop. "Sorry sir" 168 said, backing away from Kyra.

"Kyra Lewis, 22 years old, Daughter of Amber Lewis and Alpha Nathan blood, but heir to Alpha Christopher Morningstar, you are the only hybrid alive that is of witch and wolf decent making you a piece of the Goddesses heart, a blessed being that is not easily killed and far too strong for her own good" the man said.

"You know so much about me yet I know nothing about you" Kyra replied. "My name is Cedric Morrison," he replied. "And what is it you want with a little girl like me Cedric Morrison?" Kyra asked. Cedric walked closer. "You and I both know you're far from a little girl," he said.

"I am a member of the council," he told her. "And I'm afraid you've caused far too much damage to be allowed free" he said as he paced in front of her. "You know nothing" she told him. "I know everything" he retorted. "I know how the Triad crashed your mother's funeral, and I know how you left the safety of 2 packs and a coven willing to protect you in order to get revenge for it!" He snapped.

"Those chains are made of mercury that's been Infused with magic inorder to keep you here" he said. "You will never see the light of day again" he told her before turning and walking out of the cell with 168.

Kyra began to pull at the chains to try to free herself though deep down she knew it wouldn't work. She was trapped.

She couldn't even try to shift into her wolf form and her magic was useless. There was only one option left. Kyra pulled herself up off the ground and managed to get a hair pin pit of her hair. They may have been smart enough to chair her to the ceiling but they weren't smart enough to chain her feet downtown the floor.

Kyra managed to get the hairpin in the lock of the cuffs and began to maneuver, and wiggle it and after a few minutes of trying she was able to pick the lock and free herself.

Now what? She wondered. Should she sneak out or or just fight them all? No. She thought. There was no telling how many there really were, even she had limits to what she could do.

"reserare ostium" Kyra said and the door to the cell unlocked and opened. "What the..." a guard said standing in front of the cell before Kyra punched him, knocking him out. "Sorry" she said as she stepped over the unconscious man on the ground.

Kyra made a break for it, running down the long hallway looking for an escape. Then she stopped and turned to her left facing the wall. "flare" she said and the wall blew up. The alarm in the building began to go off. Kyra walked through the rubble of the wall, into a room and approached another wall. "flare" she said again, making the wall blow up again.

Once again she walked through the rubble and into another room. "Stop right there" a man said from behind her. Kyra turned and faced him. He was a warlock. "And if I don't want to?" She asked him. "ignis pila" he said and a fireball shot towards Kyra. "scutum" Kyra said, making the fire ball hit an invisible force field and disappearing.

"You can't beat me alone," she told him. "Says the girl who is alone" he said as other people, a small group mixed with witches, warlocks and wolves appeared behind him. "It seems the game is over," Kyra said. "It would be best if you just decided to give up and come with us, Kyra," he told her. "I've never been known for being easy," she replied.

"Ianuae" Kyra said before disappearing. "Noooo" the warlock yelled as he ran to where she stood. "Dammit!" He snapped kicking some rubble from the wall. "Let Cedric know that Kyra Lewis managed to escape" he told his subordinates "and let him know she learned teleportation magic as well" he added.

Not much time passed before the warlock was called into Cedric Morrisons office. He stood in front of Cedric with his arms behind his back, military style. "How much of an idiot are you 42?" Cedric yelled as he paced in front of him. "To let the hybrid escape so damn easily you should be ashamed to be in the top 50 of the council's organization" he continued as he raised his voice louder.

"I'm sorry sir I underestimated the girl" 42 replied. "Yes you did" Cedric replied as he got in 42s face. "I assure you it will never happen again" 42 told Cedric. "It better not," Cedric said. "Get out" he commanded and 42 left his office.

The council were high ranking officials of packs and covens along with some vampires. It was created to keep the peace among the supernatural, and protect them. But sometimes even 42 who wasn't a part of the council but the organization the council controlled, wondered who the real villain was. The girl born a hybrid or the council who wanted to kill her since before she was even born.
