Lost control

Nolan opened his eyes in a different space, it looked like a temple, arranged in a mystical way. It appeared to be in a space different from the rest of the world, floating in some kind of void.

Star's could be seen shinning brightly, although quite distant from where he was. The temple stood large and tall exuding a powerful aura, one that Nolan had never felt before.

Suddenly on the alter a bright blue light shone, and Nolan began to hear whispers voices calling out to him, and before his eyes Allison appeared on top the alter calling out to him as well.

"Nolan, come, come help me I can't get out of here !" Allison said with a pleading voice calling unto Nolan.

Nolan could see her being bounded by several chains and quickly he made haste to save her.

-You have encountered a memory, will destiny follow the same linings or with it take a different turn.

The system notification rang out, however, Nolan had already gone way too deep to even hear whatever was being said

"Hey idiot what the fuck are you doing, come back " Ra's boi e rang out frustratingly as he saw Nolan heading towards the temple.

The chains by the side rattling as they drew forward binding him slowly.

"Don't fall for it, it's a trick!!! Oh I always knew you were an idiot, but at least you should've died in a better way and not taking me along with you" Ra cursed.

"Nolan!!!" He made his last desperate scream, and shockingly the latter pulled out of the illusion.

"Thanks for making noise inside my head, you nut head" Nolan complained apparently annoyed.

Right after he had woken up the chains launched at him with speed, trying to wrap him up completely.

"Nah, I don't think it's going to work today" Nolan wasn't sure if he could access his weapons in this space, but after he checked the system screen and it wasn't blurred out, he quickly pulled out his long sword.

Retreating back away from the altar and running down through the stairs, "I'm not ready to get swallowed up, by some kind of mind monster. You got the wrong guy."

Emmy didn't know what to do in her current situation, instinctively she clutched onto her blade tightly prepared to take action, if Nolan began to misbehave.

"Nolan" She called out calmly, still trying to know if he still had his sanity or if he had lost it.

Suddenly the blue light died off again and Nolan's eyes returned to normal, he's breath heavy and unsteady. He had been into a different space altogether.

Any slight mistake he made would have left the monster with control over him but in that slight moment, he felt something pull him back to reality.

"That was a close call" Nolan said breathing heavily, as he recalled what he had felt when trapped inside his consciousness, the feeling was way too realistic, one more step and he would have been kissing his ass goodbye.

"And that guy's still coming " Nolan said, his eyes fixed on one of the passage ways

"Which guy " Emmy asked trailing her eyes in the direction of Nolan's and right from the passage a human figure walked out.

It was quite similar to the other zombies from before, however, he seemed to be larger and had a lot of the ice like crystals sticking out of his body.

A chilling aura loomed around him, as he walked calmly out of the passage, a large sword was visible in his hands.

It was made up of the same ice like crystals and it was about three meters tall. It's edges rough yet appeared to be very sharp.

-Defeat the enemy, for extra rewards from quest

Nolan didn't need any further introduction, he had encountered the same beast in his consciousness but he had escaped from the space right before the thing got to him.

"You're a coward you know that right?" Ra remarked, quickly reminding Nolan how he'd managed to escape the clutches of the beast in his consciousness.

"He who runs lives to fight another day" Nolan replied to his system.

"Well, I think for you the case is different, cause it seems to me that you just ran into the main trouble" Ra said, bursting out into a loud laughter of his own.

"So what did you expect me to do in that space, fight this thing alone?"

"I don't care how you do it, my only work here is to reward you after you're done with the task you were given" Ra said nonchalantly.

"Well for your information, you won't be having anyone to reward of I die here!" Nolan was angered by the systems nonchalance.

Ra could be really annoying, and the latter never seemed to help matters, he only made things worse most of the time.

"The only thing you actually know how to do is talk all day long" He added as his gaze was still fixed on the beast which was yet to make any move.

Nolan knew that against such a monster their chances were slim, even when he had encountered it in that strange space, he had to make a run for it and thankfully he pulled out of the trance.

Although, things were a bit different with Emmy by his side but what difference would it make even if they managed to land a clean hit.

"It's a freaking undead, how the hell, I'm I meant to kill it"

It seemed Ra was no longer in the mood to talk, and although he sort of appreciated the silence, he still wanted to hear the system annoying voice.

The monster looked towards them and finally moved for the first time. It's mouth opened in an attempt to speak. A loud shriek was heard before eventually they could hear the voice of the beast.

"You humans have trespassed my holy grounds and as such you shall perish" It's ominous voice rang out.

"Okay, I don't think there's any negotiations with This one"
