Chapter 20: Dating the enemy

David took Jessica out to dinner again that night. While the night before they had been in a very expensive restaurant, one that called for a dress from her and a nice suit from him, that night they were much more casual. It was still a nice place, but it didn’t have a dress code.

When he had picked her up, she was wearing a business suit, pinstriped black, and wicked high heels that gave her a very sexy look.

He looked her up and down. “You are stunning,” he said.

She smiled. “This is just my work clothes.”

“Then I envy the men in your office.”

“You really like it?”

“Are you kidding? It’s gorgeous.”

Jessica was blushing. “Thanks.”

“I’m just floored by it,” he was laying it on too thick. But he had a lot on his mind, and couldn’t come up with other conversations.

The job was coming, and coming soon.

“Shall we go?” She asked.

“Definitely.” He smiled and led her out to the waiting taxi.

“What are you so excited about?” She asked once the taxi had started off.
