Chapter 33, Unknown Benefits

Juanxin sat quietly on the side and watched his daddy cook dinner. After the steamed pork belly and dumplings are cooked, Li Jain cooks some rice and vegetables. He watched as Li Jain placed dishes of meat with rice, and some spicy fish and vegetables for him to eat. 

"Xiao Xin, come help me to serve the dishes." Li Jain said and beckoned Juanxin. The little boy nodded, slowly standing up from the bench, "Okay."

Li Jain gave   a small smile and he put the food on the table then handed the ladle to Juanxin, "Go wash your hands first, and call your brothers for dinner." Juanxin nodded and ran towards the sink to wash his hands.   After washing his hands and drying them off, he went upstairs and called his older brothers for dinner.

He called the three oldest boys one after another in the house until he reached Jingxuan room. Jingxuan opened the door with a wide grin on his face, he was excited to know that dinner was ready.

The family sat at the dining table to enjoy their first house warming meal. Li Jain had prepared a lot of dishes making the children salivate before they even started to eat. They couldn't stop eating as if there wasn't enough food left in the world.  

"Eat more. There's still some food left in the pot." Li Jain laughed as he the boys ate and ate with vigor, and didn't have time to say anything. They were too busy stuffing their faces with all the food,   not caring about manners or etiquette.

"There's more? Wow daddy! You really did cook a feast didn't you?" Li Zhang who had managed to shallow the food in his mouth said with an exaggerated manner.

"You're welcome. I did try my best." Li Jain replied,"But it can't be helped since I'll be opening the restaurant anytime soon. "

"Your restaurant will be successful. Every time I eat your food, it always leaves me wanting more. I'm sure other people will like it as well. " Jingxuan smiled brightly and finished up the last pieces of meat before he stood up to take the empty bowl away, "Thanks daddy! You're so nice!"

"Thank goodness your brothers are here to make me feel appreciated," Li Jain chuckled and turned to look at the five brothers and asked, "Can we have more servings?"

"Of course we have more!" They answered simultaneously, earning a laugh from Li Jain,"Alright! Alright! I'm going to get more from the kitchen."

After dinner, Li Jain cleaned up while the children took their baths. Soon, it was nighttime.

"Father, what's your plan for tomorrow?" Li Cheng asked as they changed into their night wear..

"Tomorrow?  You and Sheng will be fully awakened tomorrow. Then I'll go to the Yan family to get your two older brothers back." Li Jain said with a light sigh.

"Will you be able to get eldest brother and brother Yuhan back?" Li Cheng was happy that his brothers would be back, but he was also worried as to whether he would be able to get them back. After living in the Joyous restaurant, he'd hear about the Yan family and how powerful they were. Even the most influential and wealthiest families in Qingyuan didn't want to mess with them.

"I don't know what the Yan family price is, but I'll get them back." Li Jain said confidently. He has lots of treasure in his space that are hard to find anywhere else. As long as he has those things in his possession, it won't be difficult to convince the Yan family. 

"Well, if you say so." Li Cheng looked downcast as he sighed heavily.  

"What's wrong? Xiao Xuan is not happy?" Li Jain looked at Jing Xuan who was sitting quietly for the first time. Usually, Jingxuan would say a few words from time to time. But now, he just sat  quietly and stared ahead with blank eyes.  

"I'm alright. I'm just reflecting on my behavior. I need to be on the safe side when eldest brother comes back." Jingxuan said softly as his face flushed lightly. 

Li Jain frowned, feeling confused. "Is your eldest brother tough?"

Jing Sheng shook his head lightly, "Nope, eldest brother is very gentle and kind. He's always looking out for everyone. "

"Then, why are you thinking badly about yourself?" Li Jain asked curiously. It was strange that Jingxuan would suddenly think bad about himself.

"Sheng Sheng, you should speak for yourself. How can you associate the word gentle with eldest brother?" Jingxuan look at Jingsheng disapprovingly 

"I say they are goodie two shoes in the same category. That's why he think so." Li Zhang comment

 with annoyance,

 "You just call our eldest brother goodie two shoes. I'm sure he'll love to hear it when he comes back. Then the two of you can have a nice chat." Said Li Cheng with a smile that didn't reach his eyes.

Li Zhang had a shiver run down his spine upon hearing the statement. Their eldest brother is very straight with them. And like Jingxuan, he isn't one to be the first one that got on his bad side.

"What are you guys going on about? Eldest brother is not the only one coming back, brother Yuhan is also coming." Li Juanxin's cute voice sounded, calming the  atmosphere immediately. His brothers relaxed after  having heard the voice.

 "Now that's the gentle person." Jingxuan mumbled under his breath.

"We have a lot to do tomorrow. You guys should go to bed." Said Li Jain as he bid them to go and rest properly.

He has to wake up early tomorrow to make awakening potions and prepare medicine baths. The five brothers walked up stairs obediently, leaving Li Jain alone in the kitchen. He looked out the window and gazed upon the dark sky before he decided to go to bed as well.

The night was peaceful and quiet, it was a beautiful moonlit night. In the dimmed candlelight, Li Jain lay sprawled in the center of the room. He seemed to be sleeping peacefully without any movements.

Suddenly, his breathing quickened in slight agitation, as if he felt something was wrong. His whole body twitches involuntarily. 

With a sudden jerk, he abruptly woke up from his sleep. He sat upright with disoriented expressions.  Li Jain look at his hands in shock. He just broke through to the fifth level of Spiritual Sea realm. As for what led to the sudden breakthrough, he couldn't quite get his hand to it. 

But after the breakthrough, he felt that his spirit powers were growing rapidly every minute and his senses become sharper and clearer each second. His spiritual power grew even faster than that of a cultivator above the fifth level of Spirit Sea. He never imagined that this breakthrough would actually happen so easily. 

Li Jain knew of other breakthroughs, but nothing like this. He could feel a strong power surging inside of him. A rush of excitement coursed through his veins which caused him to become more energized. He felt so invigorated that he wanted to test it out, so he quickly got up and left the room.

It turns out that Tian Wen has tested his attributes and it was confirmed that he will be able to cultivate. It was the gratitude of his and his family that made Li Jain's cultivation jump leaps and bonds. 

Unknown to Li Jain, he has changed someone's fate. According to the book of fate. Tian Wen is a very ordinary boy. Born into a farming father, raised as a farmer, he was fated to be a farmer for generations. But now because of Li Jain's involvement, this fate has changed and  Tian Wen has come into existence as a cultivator. Now his future generation fate has been altered, the future that has been predicted cannot happen anymore.
