The Interrogation
As they entered the cell, the group was greeted with the sight of a giant green man, bound by his arms and legs to the wall. Upon seeing them, the alien's expression turned hostile, especially towards Jeanne who had been the one to capture him.
He couldn't believe it, every 20 years they attacked them so they don't forget the threat they have, but just how did they improve technologically in a mere 20 years to be able to defeat a fleet 4 times their number.
"Make him wear a Zivar ear chip so he can understand what he said" said Leo's father while putting one in his hear.
A soldier put one in an ear of this alien with a ladder since he was 2 times taller than them.
"Good, do you understand us?" asked the General in chief.
"Yes, what do you want?" replied the third prince angrily.
"First, who are you? And don't try to lie, we know you must be a valuable person in your civilization since you were trying to escape while being protected."
He was not making any change when he heard that but inside him, he was making a grim face. Afterall, he knew he couldn't lie about his identity.
"Sigh, it seems I can't lie. I am Leykos Faran, third son of the current emperor of the Faran empire, the 23rd emperor, Lynos Faran. But you won't get anything with me, I'm just one of the many princes, if you want something, try capturing the first prince since he will be the next emperor. The other princes are of no use to him." He said with a sad smile.
"Are you trying to make us sympathize with you?" said Arthur angrily.
"Calm down, let's ask him other information." interjected Leo.
"Right, how many star systems does your empire have?" asked Jeanne.
"Oh, an interesting question. With only 5 star systems, you will never compare with us. We have more than 300 of them."
Everyone was shocked, they knew that they had more than them but they didn't think there was such a large gap between them.
"How did you discover us?" asked Leo with a serious face.
"One of our soldiers was lost in space with his spaceship out of our territory and was trying to return to the empire. Then one day, he arrived near this backward system and found that there was a civilization here. We thought we could use you as a slave since there isn't any valuable material here. A pity that you were a new civilization so we couldn't attack you before a 100 year and during this lap of time, the Shiva civilization declared war against us." replied Leykos.
"Who would have thought you will evolve this quickly."
"Told us more about this Shima civilization" asked George.
"They are a civilization as the same level as us, so the war is very tight. But well it doesn't matter to you, you can maybe beat our weakest army, but the others you had no chance. Hahaha!" laughed the third prince.
"Right leg." Said George
Without saying a world, Arthur pulled out his laser gun and shoot at the right leg of the prince which exploded and his green blood scattered all over the room.
"Don't try to talk big, your empire is powerful, but right now, you are not. Someone brought a doctor, don't let him die." said Arthur's father while going out of the cell being followed by everyone else.
After walking a little, he asked everyone.
"What do you think?"
"He mostly said the truth, but some part must be lie" replied Jeanne
"Oh, what do you think so?"
"When talking to someone, looking up to the right is indicative of lying whereas looking up to their left suggests that they are telling the truth. When he was talking about being unimportant he was looking at his right, he must be a very precious person to the emperor. I don't know if there are really countless princes, but I know that we could use him to gain something from the Faran empire" she explained.
"You're right, let's go to the general meeting room, someone will be very interested in that" he said with a smile.
They arrived at the meeting room, after everyone were sitting, a hologram appeared.
On it, we could see a middle-aged woman of the same age as Leo's and Arthur's father.
She has long dark brown hair, shining green eyes, thin lips and a warm beige skin. Her name was Emma Dupont, she was the current president of Earthling.
"Hello everyone, I'm sure you know who I am, after all I'm pretty famous." She said with a giggle.
They were dumbfounded, this was the current most powerful human in Earthling?
"Well, let's be serious, George, Diante, tell me, what can we do we've this Faran prisoner, can we use him?" she asked with hope in her eyes.
"Yes, from what we learned and deducted, he is the current third prince of the Faran empire and he seems to be cherished by the king." replied Dante.
"Very good, we can use him as a bargaining chip to stop the war and extend our territory, we can also ask for new advanced technology." she said.
For the following hours, the meeting was talking about, how to meet the Faran civilization in a safe manner to be able to gain advantages with exchanging the prince.
"Good, it's finally decided, we will contact the Faran civilization and we will construct together with them a special spaceship so that no one can put a trap in it. We will ask for a peace treaty with them for the next 100 years and 3 star systems since they will never accept technology innovation." said the President.
"I will arrive in Espoir in six months, do your best!" she shouted while cutting the communication.
"Let's prepare everything before she arrives" said Diante.
Everyone nodded and stand up to work on it.
In the following weeks they get into their spaceships and get in the middle of the distance between the Proxima Centauri system and the closest star system of the Faran empire, they contacted them, a Faran in military uniform appeared.
"What do you want, humans?" he asked with a condescending smile.
"You know that we have your prince, we want to negotiate with you with some conditions. Don't try anything funny, he's not with us." Said George with a smile.
The Faran commander smile dropped.
"How do you want to do it?"
Arthur's father explained that the meeting will be in 6 months for their president to arrive, and how they will build a ship together where the meeting will take place.
"Fine by me" he replied.
In the Faran's mother star system, in the main planet made mostly of greenery, a gigantic palace were seen, this was the riyal palace. In the throne room, on the throne, a majestic green man was sitting on it.
He is the 23rd emperor of the Faran empire, Lynos Faran.
"What did you say?" he asked angrily looking at one of his counselors.
"Your royal highness, your third son has been captured by Earthling, what do you want to do, they only have a fleet of one million battleships, since all the other were destroyed during the war led by the prince." he said while looking at his emperor fearfully.
"Send the 10th army, and try to accept the lowest condition possible to retrieve my son!" he cried out, this was his favorite son.
"Yes, your highness!" replied all his subjects.
Year 515 of the Earthling calendar
During the 6 last months, a special spaceship has been built to have the negotiation there.
President Dupont has just arrived in Espoir when it has finished.
"President, we will depart in two days, the trip will be 20 days" said one of her secretaries.
"Understand, prepare everything, this will be a major step forward if we gain big." she replied.
Two days later a fleet of 5 million spaceships departed since the president bring with her a million battleships with her.
2 weeks passes, only 5 days left before arriving at their destination, but suddenly, the spaceships protecting the ship where the prince was being attacked by the spaceship of a Lieutenant General.
10 000 Faran's spaceships also appeared.
"What happened?" Jeanne shouted.
"It seems that Lieutenant General Sofia Perez betrayed us" replied General Fulka.
"What? I knew he was an asshole but I didn't think he will betray his own race." said the shocked president.
"I would have never imagined it myself. First, we must stop this situation." replied the General.
He begins giving orders to his soldiers, the trio of friends also begin to go to the location of the attack.
It seems that a 100 000 were under the control of the betrayer.
"It seems that it's time to use that" whispered Jeanne.
She had prepared something in case the Faran empire would attack them, but who would have thought that she would use it against a fellow human.
