Stabilization

After returning to Earthling, all soldiers and citizens celebrates their victory for three days straight.

After their happy moments, the government did a procession for all people who died during the war.

At the end of the ceremony, many people have been promoted. At the end of the line, Jeanne, Arthur and Leo were the last one to come up near Emma.

"Jeanne Leroy, for your bravery and intelligence during this war, you will now become the General in Chief and the Director General of Earthling." she said while she hung the new badges on Jeanne uniform.

"It will be hard for you to manage both of these structures. You will be helped by two people, we're creating two new ranks, vice General in chief which is just below the General in chief and will act for him if he's not here and the vice Director General which is just below the Director General."

"Arthur Knight, you will now become the vice General in chief of our army."

"Leonardo Moretti, you will become the vice Director general of our laboratory."

After giving them both their badges, the crowd were in an uproar, they were all happy, after all, they were the heroes of previous wars and heroes for the war which has just ended has well.

They were no people more qualified than then in the civilization, they were proud of them.

After a few days of stabilization, Earthling decided that it was time to integrate the republic of Rokar into their civilization.

The night before the start of this plan, Jeanne had a strange dream.

Like years ago, she appeared near a weird gigantic back box which seemed to be virtual with some error problem with it since some parts appeared and disappeared extremely fast.

This time, when some virtual number came out of the box, she immediately runs around the box and try to dodge everything, the first didn't touch here, but when she approached the box, the attack intensified with more power, more number to dodge and more speed.

She nearly touched the box and when she was extended her hand, she suddenly heard a sound like an artificial intelligence speaking.

"------!"

But it was a language which she couldn't understand, she didn't even thing living people could pronounce it.

With the voice talking, she couldn't move anymore, and she died by all the attacks.

She woke up with sweating dripping all over her body, she takes her head with her hands, shoot it multiple times while crying.

She couldn't understand what it was and like the last time, she had the impression that she knew what it was, and now it was even stronger that the first time. But she knew that she hadn't seen that thing even once in the real life.

Her husbands also woke up with her moving everywhere and calmed tried to calm her down, she felt asleep after one hour.

"Just what is she dreaming to become like this, this is the second time." said Arthur.

"Yes, and it's not like I can do anything, after it's in her dreams, not my fault for not trying." sigh Leo.

They both wondered what her dreams represent, but they couldn't come up with any idea.

They decided that Jeanne would need a few days of rest before joining the army for work, Arthur would be leading the army until she sounds her senses.

A week later, Jeanne was fine and lead the entire army to transformed all the territories of the republic of Rokar into an Earthling's one.

Meanwhile, on Earth, Emma became agitated, because she just receives a message from the Pinar civilization.

She directly held a meeting with all the higher-ups and then accept the call.

Then, a hologram of a face with tentacles like the last time they called appeared.

"Hello, president Dupont, I am the emperor of the Pinar civilization, Tazit Pinar" he said with a wide smile.

"Hello, mister Pinar." she replied with a little bow, after all, they were the leader of the alliance they were in.

"Well, I will cut to the chase, you did a great job by taking down the Rokar race, you are now the overlord of the Orion-Cygnus arm, congratulations."

'No wonder he is happy, after all, controlling this arm will be a little advantageous toward the imminent galaxy war between the Pinar and Raak civilization' thought Emma.

The face of the emperor stopped smiling, and he didn't joke anymore.

"Now that the war in your arm is finished, the galaxy war will begin soon." he said.

"In at a minimum of 50 years to 100 years, the war will begin. You will not have to participate at the beginning, but in the meantime, you will have to reunite all the Orion arm under you and resupply all of your army."

"So be prepared, I will inform you when the war will begin." He said and cut off the communication.

After the hologram disappeared, all the face in the room changed, including Emma.

Emma felt a surge of anxiety and fear as she realized the gravity of the situation. She knew that the Pinar civilization was much more advanced and powerful than Earthling, and that they would not hesitate to use them as cannon fodder in their war against the Raak civilization.

She also knew that the Orion arm was not a unified region, but a chaotic and diverse collection of planets, races, cultures and factions. She wondered how she could possibly bring them all under her control in such a short time.

She looked around the room and saw the faces of her advisors, generals, scientists and diplomats. They all looked worried and uncertain, except for one. Jeanne, who was here in a hologram image. She had a calm and confident expression on her face. She was the only one who seemed to have a plan.

"Madam President," Jeanne said, breaking the silence. "I have a proposal for you."

Emma turned to her and nodded. "Go ahead, Jeanne. I'm listening."

Jeanne cleared her throat and began to speak. "As you know, we have just began integrating the Rokar civilization into our own. We have gained access to their technology, resources and population. We have also learned a lot about their history and culture. And there is one thing that stands out to me: their religion."

Emma raised an eyebrow. "Their religion? What does that have to do with anything?"

Jeanne smiled slightly.

"Everything, Madam President. You see, the Rokar civilization was not always a republic. In fact, they used to be a theocracy, ruled by a priest-king who claimed to be the chosen one of their god. Their god was called Rokar, and he was believed to be the creator and ruler of the Orion arm. He was also said to be sleeping in a hidden planet somewhere in the arm, waiting for the day when he would awaken and lead his faithful followers to glory."

Emma frowned. "That sounds like a fairy tale."

Jeanne nodded.

"It does, indeed. But it was also a very powerful fairy tale. It inspired millions of Rokar people to fight for their god and their king, even against overwhelming odds. It also gave them a sense of identity and belonging, something that they lost when they became a republic. And most importantly, it gave them a common enemy: anyone who did not worship Rokar or follow his laws."

Emma gasped as she realized what Jeanne was implying. "You want to use their religion to unite the Orion arm?"

Jeanne nodded again.

"Exactly, Madam President. We have already gained the loyalty of many Rokar people by treating them fairly and respectfully after the war. We have also gained access to their archives and records, which contain detailed information about their religion and their god. We can use this information to create a new narrative: that we are the true-chosen ones of Rokar, that he has sent us to awaken him from his slumber, and that he will grant us his blessing and power once we do so."

Emma shook her head in disbelief. "That's insane, Jeanne. How can you expect anyone to believe such a lie?"

Jeanne shrugged.

"People believe what they want to believe, Madam President. Especially when they are desperate or afraid. And trust me, there are many desperate and afraid of people in the Orion arm right now. People who are oppressed by tyrants or warlords, people who are starving or sick, people who are lonely or hopeless. People who need something to cling to, something to give them hope and meaning. Something like a god."

Emma looked at Jeanne with a mixture of admiration and horror. She had to admit that her plan was brilliant, but also dangerous and unethical.

"Jeanne," Emma said slowly. "Do you realize what you are suggesting? You are suggesting that we manipulate billions, no, trillions of people with a false religion, that we exploit their faith and emotions for our own gain, that we lie to them about their god and their destiny."

Jeanne nodded calmly.

"Yes," she said simply.

Emma sighed.

"You do realize that we will face a calamity if such a lie is revealed. Every civilization will unite against us and even with our advanced technology, we will lose due to such a gap in our numbers, we will be outnumbered by at least a million times."

"Yes, but we are already a peak level 2 civilization, and I'm confident that we will become a level 3 civilization before the war begins, we will hide this of course." replied Jeanne.

"Fine, do it, a shame that we have to participate in the war, but we have no choice."

"Everyone, follow my order, before the war begins I want to see Earthling becoming a level 3 civilization technologically who had unified the Orion-Cygnus arm!" she said with a loud voice.

Thy all nodded and departed from the room, or their hologram disappeared.

They will have a lot of work to do to realize this wish.
