Yan Wei: Lost

Xia Yu thought that Yan Baiyu and Granny Yan might have misunderstood that his girlfriend was Yan Wei, so he said:

"Unfortunately, I didn't bring her over this time."

After hearing his words, the two elders remained unmoved, which surprised Xia Yu.

He wondered, did I overthink it? Yan Baiyu and Granny Yan were just treating them normally and didn't care whether he had a girlfriend or not.

Unable to find an answer, Xia Yu gave up thinking.

After another ten minutes of conversation, Xia Yu and Yuxue got up to say goodbye.

After seeing them off at the door, Yan Wei returned home and went to the living room, where Yan Baiyu and Granny Yan were discussing.

Seeing Yan Wei, Granny Yan shared her conclusions: "There is a high probability that he is still single."

"Can you really tell?" Yan Wei said in astonishment.

"Your grandmother has experience," Yan Baiyu told Yan Wei, asking her not to question it casually.

"He may be just ordinary handsome, but his temperament is extraordinary, worthy of being from a traditional Chinese zither background," Granny Yan's face was full of praise. "He is easy-going and humorous, and there was nothing unusual in his words, his values should be fine, but he just seems a bit too casual."

Hearing her grandmother's praise of Xia Yu, Yan Wei couldn't help but smile.

"There's just one big problem," Granny Yan's face turned serious.

"What's the problem?" Yan Wei asked anxiously.

"You seem a little unworthy of him," Granny Yan recalled the lively conversation she had just had with Xia Yu. If she had met him when she was young, she would have fallen for him.

If his waist had been a little better, he would have been a perfect young man straight out of a comic.

Yan Wei took two steps back, finding it hard to accept Granny Yan's words.

Yan Baiyu chimed in, "Apart from his charisma, he is now a well-known musician with three timeless pieces, which already surpasses me. And you, you are just an ordinary person."

Seeing Yan Wei's dejected expression, Yan Baiyu nodded in satisfaction and said what he really wanted to say: "That's why you have to study hard. If not to be on par with me, at least you should aim to become a world-class chef, right?"

"Don't listen to him," Granny Yan pulled Yan Wei into her embrace. "You may not be as good as Xia Yu, but marriage isn't about matching. Even if you don't match, it just means you can't be too assertive after marrying."

Granny Yan analyzed bit by bit: "You're not competing with Xia Yu, but with those other enchanting vixens. With your conditions, plus my ideas, you can win easily!"

"Okay," Yan Wei regained a bit of confidence.

"By the way, do you know what Xia Yu's girlfriend looks like?" Granny Yan had already decided to help her granddaughter get Xia Yu, and now she needed to know the enemy's situation.

"I have a picture of her," Yan Wei took out her phone and showed it to the two elders.

Yan Baiyu and Granny Yan looked at the photo for five seconds, then turned to each other in amazement.

"Is this An Siyao?" Yan Baiyu asked.

"It seems so," Granny Yan agreed.

"That's her," Yan Wei said.

"..." Both elderly people fell silent.

Old Lady Yan patted Yan Wei's shoulder: "Give up."

"Eh?" Yan Wei was stunned. She had just been confident, but now she was suddenly told to give up.

"You can't compare to her."

Old Lady Yan's words turned into a sharp sword, stabbing into Yan Wei's heart.

"Why?" Yan Wei asked.

"Even though you have a great weapon, her figure is also quite good, almost the same. To put it bluntly, when she wears a dress, she looks sexy, while you look flirtatious. Even though men may secretly prefer flirtatiousness, they still have to consider their appearance in public." Old Lady Yan explained bit by bit.

Yan Wei never thought that her unique skill would actually restrict her.

Old Lady Yan continued to say: "I've seen An Siyao too. That type is most attractive to men. Moreover, she is proficient in piano, painting, and floral arrangements, much more elegant than you, the cook."

Yan Wei lowered her head, feeling very dejected.

"What's most important is," Old Lady Yan held Yan Wei's hand tightly, "she is the sole heir to the Yu family and one of the heirs to the An family. These two families are not something your grandfather can compare to."

"Eh, I've worked hard to this point, and I'm still not enough?" Yan Baiyu interjected.

Old Lady Yan ignored Yan Baiyu and continued to hold Yan Wei's hand, comforting her.

Yan Wei bit her lip.

Seeing her granddaughter like this, Old Lady Yan couldn't help feeling softened. She added, "However, it's not entirely hopeless. I haven't heard of Xia Yu and An Siyao being together, which means that the An and Yu families have not yet settled the matter. If the two families don't agree, their life path will be bumpy."

Yan Wei's eyes brightened.

On the other side, when Xia Yu returned home, he took a bath and played the piano in his piano room.

He played the newly composed piece, Serene Princess.

While he was halfway through, Yuxue walked in.

The girl had also just taken a shower. She was wearing plaid pajamas and lying on a nearby couch listening to Xia Yu's playing.

Yuxue had average music skills, but she could still hear the beauty in the melody. After Xia Yu finished playing, she asked, "Is this a new piece?"

"Yes, it's for your Yao Yao sister." Xia Yu replied.

"How nice." Yuxue let out a voice of envy, and at the same time, she hinted Xia Yu with an expectant look in her eyes.

Xia Yu pretended not to understand and continued to play.

Yuxue sighed again, "It's really nice. I wish I had one too."

Xia Yu couldn't help but smile. He stopped playing and said to Yuxue, "I'm planning to write another piece. I'll add a note, 'For My Lovely Sister,' at the end of the title. What do you think?"

"Great, great." Yuxue readily agreed. She happily asked Xia Yu, "What style is that piece?"

Thinking about it, it must be a lively and magnificent piece.

"Uh.... A cheerful tune with a bit of a retro feel." Xia Yu said.

Yuxue automatically interpreted 'cheerful' as lively and 'retro' as magnificent.

Her smile grew even more brilliant, and she could already imagine the envious scene of her classmates.

Xia Yu continued, "The name of this piece will be called Goblin Revelry."

Yuxue's smile stiffened, and in her mind, the words of envy from her friends turned into hearty laughter.

Goblins were often seen creatures in the game, a kind of weird, ugly, and short monsters.

"I don't want this!" She leaped onto Xia Yu's back, wrapped her arms around his neck, and protested huffily.

Only after obtaining sufficient pleasure, Xia Yu promised Yuxue that he would give her a lovely tune.

Throwing Yuxue, who was reluctant to let go of his back, onto the girl's bed, Xia Yu returned to his room and logged into the bear's body.
