CHAPTER 4

Dinner time....

Harry put on his royal robe, all the royal family had it on actually. The minister of war,Wilfred had his armor on,he came with his family;his wife Laura and his daughter Amanda. Amanda was healed already. The king and the queen sat opposite each other then Marcus in front of Wilfred, Harry in front of Mato,Amanda in front of Percy and Laura in front of Carden, Elora's brother. Percy kept glaring at Amanda.

"King Marcus, will you state the main reason for coming here".Wilfred asked.

"Oh yes!I will but you are?".Marcus eyed Wilfred.

"I'm Wilfred, the minister of war.I oversee the affairs of this kingdom".

"I see".Marcus replied mockingly. "well,I came to tell you about a war brewing from another part of the land"

"Really!Why haven't we heard about this war".Wilfred asked.

"Because you're won't allow any message to pass through".Marcus stopped then he continued. I don't know where it came from but I think it's from the east".

"The east?".Hermes asked finally showing interest in what they were saying.

"Is the war waging on your kingdom".Hermes asked again and Marcus bursted into laughter, a laugh that resonated in the dining hall.

"King Hermes,you really think I would come here if the war is waging on my kingdom?Oh!!You don't have enough allies to boost your defense. The war is waging on both kingdom and surprisingly it's our kingdom alone".

"What".Wilfred shouted.

"Oops!!I don't understand why the minister of war will be the one screaming. This is one of the reasons why I don't eat with people. King Hermes I'm thinking that we should form our strategy then we should start forming allies outside the country. Marcus said and Wilfred clapped.

"King Marcus, why don't you start from your wife's kingdom, I heard her father is a very powerful man. Hermes said and flashed Marcus a knowing smile. "Rumor had it that she returned to her kingdom two fortnight ago.i wonder where she was all these while. I mean it's fiifteen years already well,I think you should start by apologizing to her".Hermes said and let out a staged laugh.

"It is???how come I didn't know".Marcus said sarcastically.

"I guess you have a lot of concubines then,you know what I mean".

"If we're going to talk about this can we not do this in front of my son".Marcus said when he noticed that Mato was getting uncomfortable.

"Oh yeah, what an awesome boy he is".Hermes said as if he just noticed Mato

"Are we going to talk about that or we are going to talk about the war".Wilfred asked.

"We'll talk about it in the morning".Hermes replied.

"Fine".Wilfred said.

Amanda kept looking at Harry who didn't behave like he noticed her soon dinner was over,everyone left the dining hall.

Only Harry and Amanda stayed, Amanda knew Harry would ask about it but she was not ready to talk about it. So she decided to play dumb.

"Why did you do it".Harry asked.

"What do mean".Amanda asked despite the fact that her eyes darted around.

"I know you went to the Jacob's clan to steal".

"When I saw you earlier, you were wounded but now you're healed, I know your mom has the same ability I have and the same place you had your wound was the same place I hit right. And I saw your birthmark, the one on your wrist".Harry said then released her."Tell me why you did it".

Amanda didn't say anything for a long time then tears rolled down her cheeks.

"Harry, Rudolph stole the jade pendant you gave me and mom made it compulsory to have it back since it's from the prince".Amanda looked down.

"Really?So you had no other choice but to steal it".

"He denied having it,there was no evidence that he took it so I had no other way but to steal it".Amanda replied trying to convince him.

"Whatever".Harry scoffed and started walking away.

"If that's what you're going to say".

"What do you want me to say?Do you expect me to ask you to return it?".Harry asked without looking at the back. But when he got to the door he stopped.

"Whenever you give it away again,trust me I'll look for it,take it and then I'll never give you anything again. With that Harry left.

Meanwhile, inside Marcus room Mato was questioning him about his mother.

"Mato, I thought we talked about this, I remember telling you everything you need to know".

"Of course you did but you didn't tell me anything about the reason she left and never came back not for once".Mato shouted.

"Fine,queens are prohibited in Austro kingdom, Queens with sons I mean. I tried not to impregnate your mother but it will be a disgrace to have concubines bear a child while the queen doesn't even have one.When she was pregnant. I prayed fervently in order for you to be a girl but things changes and to be honest it was the king who ought to kill the queen with his sword but I couldn't. Watching my half brothers with their mothers and having them run to their mothers when injured broke my morale. So I waited for her to escape and since then I haven't heard from her. I tried talking to her but everything seems futile".Marcus explained.

"But you could have violated the rule".Mato said.

"My dad violated the rule and my mom died in the process. She died when I clocked one.Your mom is a very wonderful woman if she dies you wouldn't get to meet her but now you can meet her since the curse has been lifted".

"Then we should go and see her".

"Of course we should,but not now. Let me form a lot of allies then I'll meet her".Marcus said though he lied he felt comfortable that his son believed his half lie.
