Buddhist Palm

Before the meeting with Shaji, Garp also gave Sengoku a call. He seemed to have found something incredible on his part. Garp seemed to find a painting that's related to Indra, and he said that it needs further analysis.

Everything seemed to be on the right track. If he and Garp could learn the Buddhist Palm, then there was a high chance that they would win against Tunfo and the demon followers.

And that was just the beginning. After the incident resolved, they would round up all the famous pirates in the New World. This world needed justice!

Sengoku seemed to become even more fired up because he saw infinite possibilities from Sing! Although no one doubted the Marine's strength, they couldn't possibly deal with all pirates in this world. But now, Sengoku believed that it was feasible thanks to Sing.

Especially since Sing himself was a capable young man!

Sing was very strong. Now that he had fused with a Jewel of Four Souls' Fragment, he had become stronger than Drago.

Given enough time for training, he'd be able to reach the top of this world. In order to achieve that as soon as possible, he trained his Buddhist Palm every day.

It has been two days since Sengoku's conversation with Sing. This morning, Garp arrived at Ice Capital. Sengoku immediately dragged him to a training ground that Sing found.

After all, that place used to be a barrack, so it was not surprising if there was a training ground or two there.

"Buddhist Palm First Form: Buddha's Light!"

Sing's right hand was raised, while his left hand was placed in front of his stomach, then he said, "The shackles, the way of Heaven and Earth, Yin and Yang. Transform all things..."

Sing kept spouting a bunch of words that Garp and Sengoku couldn't fathom, and after that, he thrust his palm, and the devastating blast was unleashed again! Garp and Sengoku both memorized the movements and chants in their minds.

"This is pretty much the way to learn Buddhist Palm. I can't guarantee that both of you can master it," Sing said as he walked over to Sengoku and Garp after the demonstration.

Sengoku and Garp looked at each other. Eventually, Sengoku came out and said embarrassedly, "Although we've memorized the movements, frankly we don't quite understand what you said during the demonstration..."

It certainly was embarrassing for an Admiral to not understand what his subordinate said. Even so, Sengoku still humbly asked Sing.

Although they didn't understand what it meant, but they could at least tell that the words Sing said earlier contained profound truths.

Sing was stunned. He didn't expect this kind of problem to arise. He rubbed his head and said hesitantly, "I actually never get a proper education. However, I've been training Buddhist Palm for more than ten years, so those words are actually my understanding over Buddhist Palm."

"It's okay. I'll just help myself to it then." Garp went over and said with a red face,

"Why don't we pick some elite Marine soldiers first? I happen to bring 30,000 Marine soldiers. We can handpick the capable ones among them for Sing's future squad."

"Fine by me." Garp agreed. Although he did not understand Sing's demonstration just now, he at least knew that it was powerfull. He immediately cupped his fists and said, "Let's go!"

It was not easy to pick talented soldiers in the Marine. After all, they had to assess them based on so many aspects including loyalty, sense of justice, and talent. It was not something that could be done overnight.

Thus, Sengoku spent quite a lot of time and only found a few suitable candidates from some Vice Admirals that he brought. After that, he would pick some from the lower ranks.

Of course, picking a few from the Vice Admirals alone should do.

One of them was the Giant Vice Admiral, Jaguar D. Saul. Sengoku couldn't help but look forward to how powerful his Buddhist Palm would be with the giant's huge body and strength.

In addition to Sengoku, Garp, and Saul, there were six students in this first training phase, which was a total of nine people. In addition to Sing, there were a total of ten people in the training ground.

There were a total of eight Sword members as Garp and Sengoku didn't belong to Sword. Those who had joined this squad couldn't quit even if they couldn't learn Buddhist Palm. They also had to keep everything revolving around Sword confidential.

It was all to ensure that the information about Sword would not be leaked. However, the interesting thing was that the students and future members were all Vice Admirals, while the leader of this squad was a Lieutenant Junior Grade, which was clearly below their rank.

And Sing wasn't even officially a Lieutenant Junior Grade yet. Sengoku just one-sidedly said he'd grant Sing such a rank.

Sing would have to go to the Marine headquarter first to attend the ceremony first before he was officially recognized as a Lieutenant Junior Grade, but there was clearly no time to send Sing back to the headquarters?

Moreover, Sengoku himself believed that Sing should be capable enough to contribute in this battle to secure the Lieutenant Junior Grade rank on his own.

Sing looked at the nine people standing in front of him and then once again demonstrated the movements that he had demonstrated to Garp and Sengoku. Then, he explained the chant that he said along with his movement.

For Sengoku, Sing could be the Marine's blade, and for Sing, this was the perfect stepping stone to become an Admiral.

This training ground was tightly sealed, and Sing began to teach Buddhist Palm inside.

It was already late, but because of everyone's persistence, the first training ended late at night.

"The most important thing in training is perseverance. You guys have to repeat these movements every day. Even if you can't master it anytime soon, it doesn't matter. As long as you keep training, I believe you will be able to master it!"
