I'm Not Sorry to Say...

Ayse took a moment to collect the knife he had thrown. That's when Ayse realized that the archer's wonder was now focused on the serpent corpses.

As LaRee felt the short, wing-like membranes of a dead snake, Ayse said, "They're called skythons. There's no actual sky in the dymension. But when these things fly around like that, the name makes sense."

"Skythons… A sky python?" LaRee deduced.

"That's right! And don't think these are the worst of them. There are all kinds of skythons, and these are some of the smallest we'll come across," Ayse stated, blowing through LaRee's homeworld expectations with a single phrase.

Ayse continued, "The good thing about skythons is that they're not venomous. So they're easier to butcher and eat. By any chance, do you have any experience with harvesting meat or animal skins?"

Smirking, LaRee laughed, "That's all I have experience with. I never handled a skython. But if this is just a sky python, I can do it."
