The Mayan ceremonial dagger had an inscription in the ancient language that read: "Offer thy heart". It's obviously an instruction left by the past inhabitants of this forgotten place, but who would be stupid enough to stab himself in the heart with a rusty old knife found inside a tombstone?

After activating my battery pack the dagger shimmers brightly in a cyan light, the creatures are coming, I can hear their steps.

After going through a rough patch Miss Dragonfang's bad luck streak was seemingly coming to an end. She and Phlox had some success scavenging in the lost city and they even managed to come back with five monster rank flux orbs during one of their incursions.

With that huge boost in their confidence they organized a hunting party in the lost city. Of all the possible candidates they decided to go with the ones that seemed new at hunting because they were less likely to backstab them during a fight.

Something like that wasn't unheard of and they wanted someone they could trust over people with strong traits. They went for a second year college student called Amy, along with her group of friends. Not only were they much more trustworthy than the rest of the hunters because they were too inexperienced to even think of killing someone, but they also had their own vehicle, something that would make their incursion much faster and safer.
