Chapter 10 - Aurora Axe - Part 7

I walk through the village gates, greeted by the same guards who didn't question me this time, only giving a slight nod.

As I pushed open the creaky wooden door of Draven's house, the warmth of the hearth washed over me, casting flickering shadows across the room. The low crackling of the fireplace provided a cozy ambiance, a stark contrast to the unexpected sight that greeted me. Draven and Arian were entwined on the plush couch, their lips locked in a passionate embrace. The dim light highlighted the soft curves of Arian's face and the intensity in Draven's eyes as they lost themselves in the moment.

"Humans and their needs," I think to myself, giving them a moment before knocking on the door loudly to act like I'm just coming in.

Arina quickly fixes her attire, and I hear Draven say, "Surprised to see you back so soon, Damien."
