Chapter 19: A Deal

Lucien couldn't go anywhere. He could only watch as Raphael's sharp fangs drew closer and closer to him. He was as good as dead.

Then he heard Blaise's voice and some footsteps. Blaise, eyes wide with rage, launched himself at his uncle, catching him off guard. He knocked him to the floor, and they rolled off to the side. Lucien sat up, panting hard. Blaise and his uncle engaged in a fierce fight. Blaise was much smaller in size, but he threw himself into it angrily. He was presently pulling Raphael's long hair as hard as he could while Raphael clawed at his hands. He dragged Blaise to the wall and smashed him against it, and Blaise released his grip long enough for Raphael to tear himself away and pull his hair back.
