At the far end of the aquarium, a dark blue light could be seen glowing around a boy with dark scruffy hair. He was speaking back and forth with a group of three small white sharks, each the size of an arm if not less.
"Everyone went off to do something and left me all by myself. Those selfish bastards!" Dawn said as he placed his hand on the fish tank in front of him. "Not like I wanted to join them anyways, I'm sure they are up to something stupid, each of them."
Dawn was in a deep conversation with his favorite listeners, a group of fish that he had spent the most amount of time with when he had first been brought into the building. These three fish were named, Lilly the shy one, Timmy the friendly one and Lenny the fierce one.
He had named them himself based on how they treated him when he had first arrived.
Dawn would mostly spend time talking to the fish (himself) and then stay quiet to give them a chance to speak as he would listen to their input.
"What do I not like about them? Well, Everything! To start it off Edith is the most selfish one, she acts all nice and friendly treating everyone like equals when that is clearly not the case, and she always has to have her mouth full. Like seriously girl, did no one feed you at home? And how are you not fat when you eat like that? It makes no sense."
"She's an infuriating woman. The worst one I've ever seen."
Dawn then kept quiet to let the fish talk before he proceeded to dive deeper into what was wrong with everyone. After they had their chance, he moved on.
"And then there's Terra, I don't know how that guy was chosen to be the representative when all he does is play around and act silly. I don't see him training or anything, I mean sure it is impressive that he can stay calm under such pressure of going to space but what if he doesn't grasp the situation he is in yet, maybe that is why he is so calm."
*ARGHH!* "And I haven't even finished playing all the games on my wish list and the world might be ending because we have him as our representative."
The sharks in the tank were now moving about more than usual after he said that and this left Dawn surprised, usually, this would mean they disagreed with what he was saying.
"No way you guys see something in him? You haven't even met him, he might have passed by here once or twice while I was away but it's not like he visits you like I do."
After arguing with the sharks on this for a while, Lilly decided to leave and swam further away from Dawn. The other two fish remained though.
"Women, am I right?" Dawn said to Lenny and Timmy. When Lenny heard this he too was offended and left to go comfort Lilly.
"What did I say to piss you off, Lenny? You are a guy!!" *sigh* "That's why you are my favorite Timmy. At least you stayed to comfort me. Unlike Lenny over there who acts just like Vito always trying to get with Edith or flirt around her. It makes me sick."
"If they wanna play hot potato with each other's feelings, they can do it outside. I guess the sense of an apocalypse can make anybody satisfied with what they have."
Dawn was now crossing his arms and was looking away from the fish tank, he didn't even give Timmy a chance to say anything back to him and this frustrated the little fish, so much so that it began to bang its head against the glass to try and grab his attention.
As it banged its head a third time getting ready for a fourth, Dawn turned his head back quickly around to say something again and this sudden action frightened the fish in such a way that it flipped over and played dead.
"Timmy? T-TIMMY!!!" Dawn yelled as he knelt down placing his both hands on the tank. He was scared and shaking, wondering what had happened to the little fish when it suddenly flipped back over again with bubbles escaping from its mouth as if mimicking a laugh.
"D-don't do that to me, Timmy, you know I can't handle losing my favorite shark."
As he finished saying those words, Lilly came back with Lenny and they both came up towards Timmy, after Lilly got close enough that Dawn could see her properly she turned around and twirled her fin at him as she went back into hiding.
"How mature Lilly!" Dawn yelled as he hit the glass softly with his fish. "Don't forget who is going to feed you this Saturday!"
*Hah* "Where was I? Oh yes, that's right, and finally, Cyrus! Hey is....."
"He is... the cockiest individual of them all, he acts all high and mighty like he knows what's going on, he is always smirking when he teases somebody, always boiling up a plan on how he is going to embarrass somebody next."
There was a small silence as Dawn simply stopped talking without gesturing for the sharks to talk like he always does and this made Timmy worried. He touched the glass to try and reach out to Dawn.
This silence did not last long as Dawn hit this glass again and went on another outburst about Cyrus.
"And he is always watching everyone closely like a creepy little stalker always trying to figure out things about people that they would normally keep to themselves, like how did he even know that I enjoy Zelda!? I didn't tell him!"
"And just because he is tall and decent looking he thinks he can just walk around and talk to anybody and they will be glad to talk back to him, like learn about personal space and he is barely 6ft too so where does he get all this confidence from?"
"And he wears glasses!"
"And, and, and... He is such a nice guy. They are all nice people. And I, am not."
Dawn was now crouched down with his arms covering his face, he couldn't dare to let the fish look at him when he was crying, he felt pathetic.
"Why is everyone here so over-friendly with each other? We've barely been friends for a month, much less two weeks. Did I miss something? And why are all those friendly people talking to me? And why do I feel so bad about it?"
As Dawn was crouched down on the floor, his shoulder was glowing but only lightly, not to hurt him or manipulate the way that he felt but to try to get him to acknowledge the feelings that he had buried within him for over the past year.
Dawn started to view an image in his head, an image of three family members, but he could not see their faces. Everything was scribbled off, and the more he tried to remember what they looked like, the more his head would hurt until finally, he got a huge headache.
He could not remember what they looked like, his family member's faces were gone and he could not remember why they were gone, to him he felt like he killed them. That had to be the case, otherwise why else would they be missing?
As Dawn lay there crying, another entity took notice of his presence, of an unstable individual brimming with energy in its body. Out of the corner of the room, a small pillow of black smoke crept out the cracks and was making its way to Dawn.
The three fishes noticed this and for once all three fish were trying to get the attention of Dawn, they were swimming about randomly as quickly as they could, trying to make noise, to do anything to get him to look up.
They splashed the sand that was in their container, pressed themselves against the glass, and even started bringing to him shells and other items that were in there with them but Dawn still wasn't looking up.
Finally, Timmy began ramming his head through the glass. He was going to get to Dawn one way or another. The other fish stood back to the side but soon they too were doing this, all three fish were banging against the glass in hopes of getting Dawn to look up at them.
Not wanting to raise his head, Dawn placed his hand on the tank in front of him and said to the fish in there, "You guys are good fish, some real good friends."
The fish was frustrated with Dawn, even if he was ashamed to have tears, why wouldn't he look up? Even Lilly was now in fear at the sight that was occurring. The black smoke had made its way onto Dawn and covered him up like a blanket.
Eating away at his lifeforce.
Dawn could feel himself getting weaker, but he already accepted the fact that he was never strong. His mind was going blank as Dawn now could no longer focus on what was happening or where he was.
The aum symbol placed on his shoulder was fighting effortlessly to keep him safe and conscious but without Dawn having a fighting will of his own, there was only so much it could do.
Timmy now pissed off at the sight it was witnessing ran to the back end of the glass and with all his might rammed the glass in front of him, right where Dawn had placed his hand. The two other fish were crying, trying to get him to stop before he hurt himself but he wouldn't listen.
Again and again, he rammed its head, he was now bleeding and in a weakened state to what he was before Dawn had come to see him. The other two fish were sure he would die if he kept it up but to him, Dawn was more Important.
It went from the top of the tank to get some height and swam with great force as fast as it could into that one spot where Dawn had placed his hand, hitting itself face-first into the glass, blood was now pouring out more profusely from its body but it didn't care.
He looked at the glass and was smiling, there was now a crack small enough for water to leak out in drops. He brought his face to the crack and as his blood mixed with the water, it ended up touching Dawn's hand.
There was a sensation that was felt, a burning glow of a beast unwilling to lose its life filling its way into Dawn's body, from his hand up to his shoulder and all around himself Dawn could feel a connection like never before and for a moment, his body felt stronger than ever, like it was different.
Breaking up from his trance Dawn was surprised to feel that his hand was wet, he looked up at the fish tank and saw it was filled with red blood towards the glass.
"AHHH! Timmy!! What did you do!!? Are you hurt!?" he screamed as he looked around frantically trying to get a better view of Timmy.
Finally finding a spot where he could see him, he saw that Timmy the shark was unhurt. In fact, none of the fish were hurt. They were all fine.
"Timmy, what did you do!? I know it's you who likes to bang against the glass, how did you even break it!? You are so small! Why did you break it?" Dawn was now running out of the aquarium to grab some tape, he needed to cover the crack before more water would leak out and he would need to tell Minty of what happened.
As he exited the room, Timmy was swimming about with a smile on his face, he knew Dawn would never realize this but a fish had saved his life.
The pillow of black smoke looked to be in pain, it was as if it had been burnt by another force that had tried to eat it up, it retreated through the cracks to its resting place in fury, as it had only suffered a loss today.

Walking down a hallway, Alex observed the preparation being made for the first-ever worldwide meeting among the leaders that spanned all 195 countries. He was making sure that they would be able to accommodate the comfort of each individual culture that would be arriving.
"And when did you schedule the meeting date to proceed?" he asked as he was fixing his tie.
"On the 25th of July, Just one week from now," Sasha replied with a smile as she was reading from her clipboard.
"One week, right before you and Minty will exchange with each other for mentorship of the kids, it seems you will have as an eventful schedule as mine, do you miss them?"
"Of course," Sasha said cheerfully gripping her clipboard, "They are just so cute, I wanna cuddle them up and feed them my cooking all day long."
"You are supposed to train them, Sasha," Alex said reminding her of her duties. He knew very well that she could easily get distracted.
"I will," Sasha replied as she folded her arms, "In my spare time~" she whispered.
Alex heard that last part clearly but decided to laugh it off, "And why are you wearing glasses? You don't need any. And aren't these Minty's reading glasses?"
Sasha innocently shrugged as she said, "I thought they looked cute and I am cute, so I am wearing them."
Suddenly Alex stooped walking, it was as if he had entered a trance and was left unconsciously standing upright. Sasha seeing this decided to move and guard his body as she *sighed* "Not even a warning this time, the Earth sure likes to take him as it pleases, not fair."

Opening his eyes, Alex was surprised to find that the tree that was normally calm was shaking so badly, that it seemed as though it would uproot itself and jump into a river, the sky here was grey and no longer clear and there was a heavy wind hitting him as though rain was about to fall any second now.
"Alex, I need to speak with you, it's urgent! It's about Dawn!"
