Jia Li held her breath as she felt his warm exhales against her skin, soon followed by the warmth of his lips.

She pushed him away. "Xianwu, no more teasing," she cautioned, observing his amused smile directed at her. 

"What did I do?" Xianwu acted innocent, keeping the smirk on his lips.

 "Act like a noble man not an immoral one," she scolded him. 

"I believe in acting immorally around you," Xianwu remarked.  

Jia Li shot a glance at him. 

"Don't look at me with that gaze. It gives me an invitation to do more with you," Xianwu said.

Revenge Of The Crown Princess

The morning was pleasant and Jia Li was seated on a swing, enjoying her alone time while having berries.

"Your Royal Highness, the preparations are going on with such enthusiasm," Court Lady Xuan informed her. "Even the entire capital is decorated with red lanterns since it's an auspicious color for the wedding," she added.

Jia Li stopped eating and the maidservant took the bowl of berries from her. "Court Lady Xuan seems more excited than me for this marriage," she asserted.

"Pardon me, that's not the case. However, I'm truly happy from the bottom of my heart. She has finally taken an important step ahead in her life," Court Lady Xuan proclaimed.

Their conversation was interrupted when a maidservant informed them about Eunuch Yang's arrival.

Jia Li left to see the seniormost Eunuch and shortly arrived at her chamber. Eunuch Yang greeted her with a broad smile and she did the same.
