I stare at Lucas's body and confusion is all I feel.

I didn't know he was going to do this.

He killed Gabriel's mate.

"Let's begin," he tells me and I slowly walk up the steps that lead to the stage-like alter where Lucas's body lies and all the stones are. My heart is racing because this is not the sacrifice I wanted to destroy my father. He is using Lucas's blood to connect the stones.
