"But You could've used me like what the others had done to my kind but instead you're here protecting me. For that, I'm really grateful." Aubrey said, looking Rhyland in the eyes.

Aubrey believed that Rhyland was a good person. He's saved her from harm before and even returned her necklace to her. Moreover, Rhyland helped her get over Ricky. Now she finds herself catching feelings that she knew she shouldn't have. 'This wasn't part of the fake relationship. This isn't part of the original arrangement. I shouldn't get caught.
