Chapter 49: The Power of the Lee Clan

Koa finally wakes up and starts to walk toward the group called by the Elder Chula.

Koa winced as he stood before Elder Chula, clearly discontented. "Ugh, why do I have to be here, Elder Chula?"

Christian, spotting Koa, couldn't resist a snide remark. "Oh, it's you."

Koa shot back, his tone challenging. "Got a problem?"

Chula intervened, raising a hand to calm the brewing tension. "Now, that's enough, you two."

Quin stepped forward, apologizing to Elder Chula. "Sorry, Elder Chula, I'll reel him in."

Meanwhile, Teddy's enthusiasm couldn't be contained as he greeted Quin with unabashed excitement. "Hi, Quin!"

Quin beamed at Teddy's enthusiasm. "Hello, everyone."

Christian couldn't resist teasing Teddy. "Teddy, you sound like a dork."

Teddy's smile faded, replaced by a scowl. "Shut up!"

Chula regained control of the situation, bringing their attention back to the matter at hand. "Now, let's get started, shall we? Quin and Koa, make sure to fill in any gaps I might leave out."

Quin and Koa nodded in agreement. "Yes, Elder."

"So, the Lee Clan's story started long ago, before society as we know it today. Our clan, along with two others, were the first humans recorded in history. We are also known as the 'First Generation Specials.'"

Everyone focusing on Elder Chula as she tells her story.

"However we aren't special in the same way as the current generation. Our abilities are a bit different. For the Lee Clan, we focus on strength in our bodies and the skill that comes with martial arts. In fact, one of our ancestors is known as the creator of all martial arts."

Teddy's eyes widened in awe. "Incredible! So, all your clan members are master martial artists?"

Chula nodded, pride evident in her expression. "Indeed, we are trained from adolescence and hone every martial art as we grow. Quin and Koa, tell them what you know."

Quin stepped forward, sharing her achievements. "So far, I've mastered Karate, Taekwondo, and Krav Maga. At the moment, I'm learning Jujitsu."

Koa, standing tall, listed his accomplishments. "As for me, I've mastered boxing, karate, judo, Taekwondo, street fighting, Jujitsu, and I'm currently learning Krav Maga."

Teddy's admiration knew no bounds. "Woah, impressive!"

Christian couldn't help but wonder, "That explains why he is strong, but for some reason, I feel like there's something else to it."

Chula caught Christian's contemplative expression and smiled. "There is also something else that makes the Lee Clan members so strong, and that is called the inner gates."

Christian's curiosity piqued. "The inner gates?"

Chula nodded, her gaze locked with Christian's. "Yes, a technique specific to our clan. We are able to unlock our true humanity using this technique."

Christian's confusion grew. "True humanity? What does that mean?"

Quin took the initiative to clarify. "Let me explain. All humans have limiters on themselves that keep them from unlocking their full potential. These limiters are necessary because they keep us safe. However, we, the Lee Clan, are able to forcefully open these limiters."

Teddy's eyes widened in fascination. "So, what are these limiters?"

Quin explained further. "Well, there are five of them: Speed, Power, Knowledge, Life, and Death."

Teddy couldn't contain his wonder. "Fascinating!"

Quin's tone turned regretful. "Unfortunately, though we can tell you the basics about our clan, I won't be able to delve any deeper."

Harrison, who had been silently observing, interjected. "That's completely alright. This information is important for these three to know."

Chula directed her attention to Harrison, curiosity evident in her voice. "You seem to know quite a lot about our clan personally, Mr. Harrison."

Harrison's eyes gleamed with a hidden depth. "Let's just say I've learned about them personally."

After Elder Chula finished recounting the history and abilities of the Lee Clan, Christian, Teddy, and Eve were left in awe.

Christian couldn't contain his excitement. "The Lee Clan sounds incredible!"

Koa, displaying his trademark confidence, proclaimed, "Damn right! No one can beat the Lee Clan!"

Christian saw an opportunity to grow stronger and didn't hesitate to voice his request. "Well, that sounds like the perfect opportunity for me to get stronger. Hey, Granny, teach me your ways!"

Everyone was surprised by Christian's request. Even the other Lee Clan members who were watching from the distance as they whispered to each other. Teddy, apologetic, turned to Elder Chula. "Christian, you're out of your mind! I'm so sorry, Elder!"

Chula chuckled at Christian's boldness. "You're a funny boy."

Christian, dead serious, insisted, "I'm serious! I won't settle for anything less than becoming king one day and being the strongest there is."

Chula's expression turned contemplative. "Oh..."

Harrison sensed it was time to leave. "Well, well, I think we've overstayed our welcome. Thank you for sharing that story, Elder Chula."

Chula's chuckles turned mischievous. "Wait right there, young one. I'm interested to see what this boy is capable of. Koa, come here!"

Koa promptly responded, "Yes, Elder!"

Chula made a surprising request. "I want you to spar with this boy here and show him the strength of the Lee Clan."

The collective reaction was one of shock. "What?!"

Quin, concerned, sought clarification. "Elder, are you sure?"

Chula nodded, her gaze fixed on Christian. "Of course, but only if the boy is up for it."

Christian, determined, responded without hesitation. "Let's do it! And if I win, I want you to train me."

Chula agreed to the challenge. "Deal."

Teddy turned to Harrison in a panic. "Mr. Harrison, do something!"

Harrison sighed, resigned. "There's nothing I can do if this is what he wants."

Christian declared confidently, "Alright, let's do it!"

Koa taunted, "You're gonna regret this!"

The sparring match between Koa and Christian commenced, with the entire group watching closely.

Koa smirked. "Are you ready to be put into the ground?"

Christian retorted a smirk of his own planted on his lips. "Well, let us see, shall we?"

Quin shared her concerns about the matchup with Elder Chula. "I still think this was a bad idea, Elder. Koa is ruthless when it comes to fighting. That's why no one in our village wants to spar with him anymore. Honestly, most of the masters here think Koa is too much to deal with. Christian is going to be in trouble."

Teddy, displaying unwavering faith, reassured Quin. "I wouldn't worry about Christian too much. He's strong."

Elder Chula gives a faint smile, "Quin, don't worry and just watch."

The fight began, and both Koa and Christian displayed incredible speed, making it difficult to follow their movements. Exchanging constant blows but no one gaining an edge.

Teddy struggled to comprehend the intense battle unfolding before him. "I can't tell what's happening, Mr. Harrison, do you know?"

Harrison observed closely. "It seems they are evenly matched. However..."

A pause in the action allowed both fighters to catch their breath momentarily.

Koa expressed his satisfaction. "Not bad, not bad at all. I'm starting to have some fun here."

Christian responded confidently. "Likewise, but I'm winning here."

Koa issued a challenge. "We'll see about that. Power Limit Release!"

Koa's muscles expanded, veins appeared on his body, and his overall strength increased dramatically.

Teddy sought further understanding. "Elder Chula, does unlocking a limiter have any drawbacks?"

Chula deferred the question to Quin. Quin explained, "Yes, as we've mentioned, the limiters allow us to surpass our uppermost human limits and achieve incredible strength. Each limiter affects us in different ways. Koa's power limiter enhances his overall strength, but the drawback is the exhaustion he faces once the limiter is released, expending all his energy."

Teddy nodded, grasping the concept. "I see. It's a risky technique, but Koa didn't think twice about using it."

Quin added, "Limiters can be trained and improved, and only the Lee Clan knows how to achieve this. Koa is exceptionally talented, able to release two limiters at his age, and he can stay in that state for a significant amount of time. He is very talented even amongst the Lee Clan."

Teddy expressed his fascination. "That's truly remarkable. These limiters are intriguing."

Quin continued, cautioning about the consequences of unleashing multiple limiters simultaneously. "However, if you unleash more than one limiter at once, the consequences and drawbacks increase."

The focus shifted back to the intense battle between Christian and Koa, their speeds reaching unimaginable levels. However, unlike last time Koa started gaining the edge in the fight with his increase in power.

This caused Christian to realize he needed to find a way to overcome Koa's heavy attacks. As he pondered, something unexpected caught his attention—a vision of a mysterious beast-like entity.

Koa then kicks Christian backwards causing him to cough up a little blood. Then Koa follows it up with a hammer kick as Christian blocks it with both arms.

This can only last so long as Christian's knees start to give out. "Give Up," Koa says with a snicker. "Christian rethinks the vision he just had and realizes he needs a way to get stronger at this very moment, he then proceeds to whisper... "Lightning Beast Transformation..."

A bolt of lightning struck their location with Koa barely dodging. Then we see Christian looking a bit different with electricity surrounding him and a pair of lightning claws covering both his hands. Christian smiled, "Time for round 2!"

The fight reignited and the intensity of the fight escalated further with neither of them giving an edge yet again.
