Also, there is more of a stat involved part of the system that has been introduced in the later chapters(63). Experience isn't visibly tracked until this point - up until then it is still gathered and slayers do grow slightly stronger from fights, but there's no way of knowing how much has been gained until the chapter it's introduced.]

When it seemed that Jayden's fate had been decided, a true hero that barely even knew him jumped into action.

Ryo jumped over Jayden's body and stood between him and the incoming blood thirsty Lazarus. Jun had already looked away by this point so he was unaware of Ryo's move.

Ryo's eyes shot open and his heart rate skyrocketed just like it had against Jun. His muscles budged out as they hardened to perfection. The black aura began to emit from around his body.

He reached his hand out and caught the spinning blade - but on the outside. The rotating blade came to an immediate stop as it was unable to cut through Ryo's hand. This caused Fydos to actually stand up from his seat.

"Now this is something! Looks like a player actually worth dealing with." Fydos said. He held out his hand and Lazarus shot right back into it.
