Also, there is more of a stat involved part of the system that has been introduced in the later chapters(63). Experience isn't visibly tracked until this point - up until then it is still gathered and slayers do grow slightly stronger from fights, but there's no way of knowing how much has been gained until the chapter it's introduced.]

God Slayer: The Tale of Humanity's Last Stand

Prior to the big fight against Fydos on Floor 20, Jayden had been wandering Fydos's territory in search of any clue as to where he could even find him. He didn't have the long range detection that Ryo had and he didn't have any companions to lend a hand either.

So, he did what he could. More than anything Jayden did not want to have to run back to the others with his tail tucked between his butt cheeks. That meant he did whatever he needed to in order to get ahead.

This involved how he would wipe out almost an entire squad of angels from a distance and then torture the last one for information. And angels, despite being the lowest rank of soldier, were not easy to break if at all.

It was while he was interrogating a homeless person that they mentioned they saw people and angels alike going in and out of this area in the middle of nowhere.

Jayden investigated the claim as he saw every bit of info as valuable.
