Mortifae

Kurai Tachi is a normal student who just wants to study and do well. Lin Hayashi is his childhood friend and roommate who seems determined to spend the rest of her life playing games.

When Lin purchases headgear for a chance to enter the beta of the newest VR game 'Seradeihn', Kurai suddenly finds himself trapped in the game in an Avatar that he doesn't know how to use instead, but not for long.

Soon he finds that the game itself may hold a link to memories he'd long ago thought lost and the picture they paint proves to be a lot more sinister as they expose a plot that would shock the world as well as the other dimensions that soon become involved.

Seradeihn

It didn't take long to reach the tower, but the kit made full use of the time they took to get there by explaining the true function of the abyss and how those who lived in Seradeihn seemed to perceive it.

Kurai definitely didn't expect to hear that it was a full society that was originally based in a dimension that ran parallel to the real world before something happened that caused it to become connected to the game as well.

This unsettled Kurai greatly as he thought about the usual scary stories that he always dismissed with a laugh whenever someone mentioned something.

Suddenly those scary stories didn't seem as silly or funny anymore and the kit seemed to pick up on his thoughts quite easily as she nodded, "The stories were meant to educate or communicate with those individuals who were 'in the know' so to speak, while also acting as a warning to those that wanted to mess with things they shouldn't."
