Mortifae

Kurai Tachi is a normal student who just wants to study and do well. Lin Hayashi is his childhood friend and roommate who seems determined to spend the rest of her life playing games.

When Lin purchases headgear for a chance to enter the beta of the newest VR game 'Seradeihn', Kurai suddenly finds himself trapped in the game in an Avatar that he doesn't know how to use instead, but not for long.

Soon he finds that the game itself may hold a link to memories he'd long ago thought lost and the picture they paint proves to be a lot more sinister as they expose a plot that would shock the world as well as the other dimensions that soon become involved.

Seradeihn

Given that, there were no other hints as to where the taint had come from, and because Kurai couldn't simply go anywhere and everywhere in the village, he was forced to try and think of other ways to try and figure out the culprits behind the entire mystery.

He almost wanted to ask Nasi to take him back to the elders, but in the end, he had no other choice but to snoop around once Nasi left him alone for the night.

Naturally, the best place to search for the culprit would be to figure out what happened to those who were selected to guard the king, as Nasi easily established that none of them returned home once they'd been chosen.

Nasi explained that it was for the safety of the king, but Kurai definitely smelled a rat. How could a king be known as a protector, yet he was so sickly that he couldn't leave his home?

It made no sense, so Kurai decided that his first stop would be the king's castle.
