The Aftermath

After a few moments, the healing begins to get her back to where Wanda can stand again.

She's still pretty battered up, but she's going to make a full recovery.

Wanda finally opens her eyes and looks up at Olivia.

"Well... what now?" She asks as she gets to her feet.

Olivia helps her up as she puts Wanda's arm around her shoulder, and she helps her to her house.

"We are going to get you bandaged up and I'll fix the mess we made then go home to pass the fuck out." She says as she chuckles dryly.

Wanda chuckles a little bit.

"That sounds like a pretty good plan. I owe you one." She says as she starts to limp a little bit.

Wanda manages to get to her feet and walks with Olivia through the broken city.

She seems to still be in shock from the damage that's been done and is surprised that Olivia would even offer to help her.

"You're one of the few that have ever shown me kindness. I just hope I can keep my promise to return it." She says earnestly.

Olivia looks at her as they walk slowly through the ruined city.

"You deserve all the kindness in the world after what you have been through."

She smiles at her.

Wanda looks back at her, her face full of surprise, her eyes almost glowing at Olivia's comment.

"You really do think so?" She asks in complete surprise.

"I mean, I've done some bad things... but, you really think that I still deserve kindness?" She asks, her face filling with happiness.

"You lost the love of your life not once but twice because of Thanos. Then you lost your beloved children too... Yes, you did bad things in retaliation to that, but as the saying goes everyone deserves a second chance." She says as they get closer to Wanda's home.

"You're right." She says, beginning to wipe away the tears that have built up in the corners of her eyes.

She seems to be at a loss for words by Olivia's kindness.

She's always been told she was a monster; she's always been told that no one could ever forgive her.

"Thank you…" She says through tears.

"Thank you for being...for being...kind."

Olivia smiles in response.

"You're welcome. And thank you for pushing me to become the person I am today."

Wanda is now completely overcome with tears as Olivia said those words. Her face is full of sadness and grief, it's clear that those words touched her very deeply.

She seems to have not heard words like that in her whole life. She seems to be at a loss for words at the moment and continues crying as she says nothing at all for a few minutes, a few more tears rolling down her cheek.

After a few minutes, she finally speaks again.

"You...you have no idea how much that made me feel... I think I really needed to hear that."

Olivia hugs her tightly as she rubs her hand up and down her back.

Wanda seems to melt a bit at her hug and the kind words she gives her. It appears Olivia is the first person to really show her any kindness.

Her life has been filled with so much pain, grief, hate, and despair. It seems like she really needed this, her whole body is relaxing just a bit as she enjoys the hug and the comfort that Olivia is providing.

Wanda wraps her arms around Olivia tightly as she hugs her back, a big smile spreading across her face.

Olivia hugs her a little bit longer before letting go and continues walking.

"C'mon, let's get you home."

Wanda nods, still wiping away some tears from her eyes as she gathers herself up a bit. She seems to have been overwhelmed a bit by this meeting but seems to be feeling a lot better in general.

"Thank you; I think I had forgotten what it felt like to be shown kindness. A thousand thanks for that. If you ever need anything, you know I'll help you as I can." She says as they walk along.

It looks like Olivia really made a difference for the better for her today…

Olivia nods.

"I will take you up on that." She says as they finally make it back to her house.

"And if you ever need help again with the multiverse, just give me a call and I'll help."

Wanda nods, she seems a lot more at ease now. She smiles as she makes it to her house, and she walks inside.

She turns to Olivia with a big smile and a gleam in her eye, her eyes shining with hope.

"And I promise, you'll definitely get that call." She says with a chuckle.

"Thank you, once again." She says as she extends her hand.

Olivia chuckles and takes her hand giving it a shake.

"You're welcome and I'll be waiting for that call."

Wanda smiles back at her as she shakes her hand and then heads inside. She gives one last wave as she heads inside her front door and shuts it.

She has found someone today who not only showed her a kindness she can never forget, but also helped her make an important decision in her life today.

She's not sure what comes next, but she's starting to feel okay again.

She's starting to feel like it's all going to be alright.

For the first time in a long while, she actually has the tiniest flicker of hope.
