Planning

ARWAN

When I finish my work at the café, I get dressed quickly and drive as fast as I can to Tim's house, where I'm supposed to be. I'm so tense today, more than I've ever been.

This morning, Emery managed to relax me just by being there. She acted as a de-stresser. Thinking about her relaxes my muscles and keeps me from going crazy with anticipation.

But I'm still as alert as ever.

I haven't forgotten what my father did to me, and I don't intend to forget it. I've only got one thing on my mind: to make him regret it. And I'm prepared to do anything to do that. After seeing what Emery is like, I can't stand by and do nothing. I can't leave her scared.

I have to do something.

And that's precisely what I'm going to do today.

I soon arrive outside the house of Tim, a childhood friend. I managed to find his phone and called him without hesitation, knowing he'd help me.
