The Journey Begins

"In my previous life I only visited the War Sword Pavilion a few times and didn't pay close attention, to think that it houses a few treasured weapons here as well."

Xiao Chen muttered under his breath as he looked at the weapons stored in a special place. Indeed, above the named weapons there are other weapons of a higher quality, they are referred to as heirlooms.

Heirlooms has many types, for example weapons, armor and others. They are objects made of special materials and have unusual abilities, sometimes even magical ones.

The heirlooms also have their own respective classes, namely human heirlooms, earth heirlooms, and sky heirlooms. Among the Sky heirlooms, there are several heirlooms that possess extraordinary power, known as the Seven World Ruler.

It is believed that there are actually more than the Seven World Ruler Treasures but the existence of treasures of this level is not easy to find.

"Chen'er, aren't you satisfied with the sword you got?" Fang An noticed that Xiao Chen was looking at the other swords of better quality and even looking at the relics. Fang An had not expected Xiao Chen to have such an observant eye and be able to discern the quality of weapons at such an early age.

"No Master, this disciple is very satisfied…" Xiao Chen snapped out of his reverie, smiling awkwardly as he thanked Fang An for the gift.

Xiao Chen stored his sword well, Fang An then took him to the Young Sword Pavilion. The two met Yue Lian and reported their planned departure to the Capital.

"Chen'er, you have grown into such a dashing young man, I barely recognized you." Yue Lian was slightly stunned before smiling gently at Xiao Chen.

Xiao Chen scratched his head, in his previous life he and Yue Lian were quite close because Yue Lian taught him so many things back when Xiao Chen was working in the Young Sword Pavilion. In this lifetime, Xiao Chen had not seen Yue Lian since the day he joined the Valley of the Hundred Swords because he had been busy training.

Yue Lian also felt a bit strange because it didn't feel like three years had passed and Xiao Chen had grown so fast, looking much more mature than his age. Yue Lian also knew about Xiao Chen's famous moves due to his strenuous training over the past year.

"This will be the first time Chen'er has ventured out since becoming a disciple of the Valley of the Hundred Swords right? You have to come back safely okay…" Yue Lian then passed two sets of sect clothes to Xiao Chen.

"As long as I'm with Master, no one will be able to harm me." Xiao Chen said confidently.

Fang An only smiled in response to Xiao Chen's statement. It was true that in the last three years Fang An had not made much progress towards his internal strength but his sword skills had improved quite a lot especially during the past month when passing sword skills to Xiao Chen.

The next morning, just as the sun was rising, Fang An and Xiao Chen left the Valley of the Hundred Swords. Xiao Chen looked at the Valley of the Hundred Swords for a long time, after three years he finally left the place.

In his previous life, Xiao Chen first left the Valley of the Hundred Swords when he was 19 years old. This time, he was eleven years faster and even the strength he possessed was greater than his 19 year old self in the past.

"Chen'er, why are you carrying such a big package?" Fang An actually wanted to ask since he saw Xiao Chen carrying an enormous bundle on his shoulders. As far as Fang An was concerned, Xiao Chen didn't have many items.

Xiao Chen only smiled awkwardly and said he had brought his necessities, of course the large package he brought contained Water Ginseng which was enough to last him for over a year. Xiao Chen thought that there was a possibility that the two of them should stay in the Capital until the fight for the throne was over.

Fang An didn't inquire further after that but he saw that Xiao Chen also carried the jade bracelet that Yin Xuehua had given him. The bracelet was stored by Xiao Chen in his robes.

The two of them wore a purple robe with sword prints all over their robes, indicating they were from the Valley of a Hundred Swords. Previously their sect attire didn't attract much attention but ever since Jiang Kun became the sect master, he made the sect uniform like this.

Fang An preferred to wear his own robes when traveling but because this time he brought Xiao Chen to experience the outside world, he also wore the uniform of the Valley of the Hundred Swords accompanying Xiao Chen as well as showing off the identity of the two.

Several days passed, the journey of the two could be spelled out without a hitch. The distance between the Capital and the Valley of the Hundred Swords was vast so Fang An and Xiao Chen traveled using lightening.

Fang An wanted to use this opportunity to let Xiao Chen get more used to using the lightening body. Fang An could only be stunned to find that Xiao Chen had such great stamina, he was able to run non-stop for several hours and not get tired either.

Even while traveling, Xiao Chen also regularly consumed Water Ginseng when his condition allowed it. Xiao Chen had not forgotten his wish of attaining the Iron Tiger Bone before the age of 10 thus he did not slack off.

"If we maintain this pace then we will soon be entering the main road…" Fang An said.

Indeed after leaving the Valley of the Hundred Swords, Fang An took the shortest path to the Capital so the two of them ran through grasslands as well as forests and even rounded a mountain. This path is impossible to pass by using a horse-drawn carriage or people who do not have the knowledge of lightening the body that is high enough.

"Chen'er is also talented in lightening, I guess I should have the Sect Master pass down the best lightening that the Valley of the Hundred Swords has." Fang An thought after observing Xiao Chen's abilities the past few days.

A few hours later the two found a large road, Fang An said that by following this road they would arrive at the Capital but they still had a long way to go.

"Master, look…" Xiao Chen pointed ahead, "It seems that there is an entourage ahead of us."

Fang An narrowed his eyes, he could only see the faint shadows of a few people. Little did Xiao Chen realize that the Water Ginseng also made his sense of sight so sharp that he was able to see long distances clearly.

"This road was indeed used by everyone, we would often encounter merchants or other travelers because this road connected the Capital with all the major cities in the Han Empire." Fang An explained.

Xiao Chen smiled faintly, from what he could see this group of people were neither merchants nor ordinary travelers.
