Chapter 2 - Juri
Yuri and the Dark mage walked for about 10 minutes until they found a small pond. Jason mumbled what seemed to be a password,
"Excitare, suscipe me".
Suddenly, the otherwise calm water started rippling as if someone had thrown stones into it.
"Come on Yuri,".
He grabbed her hand as he started walking into the water. Yuri closed her eyes as she went in as well, and when they seemed to have stopped moving she opened her eyes to see a stone mansion, a magnificent courtyard, and two women standing at the seeming entrance to the building. Looking around, Yuri noticed that where they were was surrounded by water and four other islands were surrounding the island they were on.
"Where are we?" Yuri questioned.
"We are simply home, the place that you along with me and those two women there, will dwell." Jason responded.
They all walked into the mansion to see a large main room with a couch with a couple of armchairs. There was a red carpet as well as a fireplace and above it a mirror. They all sat down and Jason began to explain.
"On the right in Vienna, she is our huntress, she is in charge of our food. On the left is Luna, the mirror is hers. She is a security guard of sorts, she uses the mirror to watch over the islands and send her summons through. She protects the four islands that surround us as we are the smallest island which I can protect myself.”
Yuri gazed at Vienna, she was gorgeous with vibrant fire-like hair, a sharp jawline, milk chocolate-like skin, and a gaze that could make any being fall to their knees. She turned and looked at Luna who was more of soft and quaint beauty. Her hair was silver like platinum and her face was softer than Vienna's, more like a soft marshmallow, her gaze was also much kinder than Vienna’s though she had an air that made you see that she shan’t be crossed.
Jason continued explaining, “In the north is the island which you come from, Yuri. That is the island that is focused solely on plants, fruits, vegetables, flowers, grains, everything. Only a few farmers live there, though there are small household gardens on the human island. In the south is the town where all the humans of the five islands live, as well as being the biggest of the five islands. In the west, is where the Dark elves reside, for the most part, they are harmless as we have a peace treaty, the humans won’t harm the elves as long as the elves don't harm them. We have trade with each other as well as interactions, which are not necessarily segregated, but we must maintain peace between classes. Finally, is the east island, which the humans call the Nightmare island, it is an island full of demons and monsters that cannot be communicated with and only live for destruction. They don't leave their island but they do occasionally attack the human or elf islands which we swiftly take care of. You won't have to worry about going there for a long, long time. The last thing I wish to say is that you will take care of general maid duties and shall train with Luna and Vienna to be a white mage. Luna will also show you to your living quarters and tomorrow they will show you around the human island. Any questions?”
Yuri thought hard, trying to grasp all the information that was just shared with her.
“Um, I only have one question,” Yuri whispered.
“Yes, what is it,”
“Um, you previously said I would be your maid and white mage but what is that?”.
“Oh, right, Luna will explain that to you as well, anyway, I have other engagements to attend.”
Yuri watched as he walked away, the darkness of shadows seemed to follow him. She turned once the black mage was out of sight and saw Luna looking at her with a big smile. Luna skipped up to Yuri and grabbed both of her hands and bounced.
Talking extremely fast Luna says, “Hi Yuri, as you know my name is Luna, I'm a summoner and I'm so glad you’re here, I hope we can become good friends.”
Luna was so nice, Yuri could tell that they would get along well.
“Follow me, I’ll take you to your room, but anyway I heard that you were from the north island, what exactly were you then? Were you a random farmer? Were you a random plant?” Luna looked at Yuri with kind wide eyes.
“Well, I was a sunflower along with my other sunflower companions, I was interrupted from my conquest to absorb the sun when that person changed me into this being.” Yuri whispered.
“Oh, you mean Guardian Jason,” Luna said.
So that's what he’s called. Yuri thought.
Luna looked at Yuri a little more carefully, she saw that Yuri had a slight glow to her as if she was absorbing the sun. Luna looked deeper and could see that Yuri was overwhelmed with mana as if she had had it her entire life. Luna smirked knowingly, I get it now, she thought.
“Hm, you're a quiet one aren’t ya, we’ll work on that,”
Yuri was suddenly curious about Luna too, looking at her, she had a feeling that her silver hair wasn’t normal nor were her slightly pointed teeth.
“Um, while we’re on the topic where are you from Luna?”
For a second, Yuri saw a flash of melancholy in Luna’s eyes and her smile faltered, but it went back to normal just as fast.
“I'm from the west island, the Dark Elf Kingdom, I’m a halfling. Half Human, half-elf. I do look kinda strange don't I, this platinum silver hair and sharp teeth, while having human ears and a plump tanned face-”
Yuri cut her off, “Oh no, don't think like that, I think it suits you well, you're really pretty, like the moon, though I prefer the sun, the moon is good too because it reflects the sun's light in a way that is marvelous.”
Luna’s smile grew even bigger, “Thank you for saying that Yuri, I haven’t heard words like that since… since my mother, but anyway we’re here.”
Yuri looked in the direction in which Luna was pointing. So these are “living quarters”, Yuri thought, it was a square type space with a large hole in the edge that let the sun in. I like that, there are other objects in this space but I don't know what they are, I should ask Luna.
“Luna?”
“Yes, Yuri”
“What are these objects?”
“Oh, so that near the window is the bed, it is what you will sleep on,”
Pointing towards the left of the bed Luna continued “That there is a desk where you will engage in self-study, there is another room where Vienna will commence your official lessons. To the right of the bed is a closet where all your clothes reside. Next to that is storage for other things that you might need for, like things that can be gotten on the human island.”
“Interesting”, Yuri thought.
“Welp, I’ll leave you to get comfortable then I’ll come to get you for dinner, that is when I will explain what exactly you’ll be doing here”, with that Luna closed the door and left.
Yuri jumped onto the bed, and as soon as she landed she felt complete bliss. The bed was so comfy and it was next to the window that had the sun. This was paradise for her. Not long after she fell into a deep slumber.

Meanwhile, in a pocket dimension, Jason had arrived at the monthly guardian meeting. Hmm first to arrive again I see. Jason took his seat at the table as the other four guardians arrived. The next to arrive was Torak, Guardian of the Jokester realm, his form was simply a cloud of smoke, nothing more nothing less. Then there was Wish, Guardian of the Solar realm, who was a being that normally glowed as bright as 50 suns, but he turned it down extremely to the point where his glow was barely noticeable, if he was human his looks would be equivalent to an Albino man. Third, to arrive was Allan, guardian of the Elemental Realm, he had scars all over his body but was one of the most powerful guardians here, for he trained himself spiritually and could control all the elements. Last was Azreal, Guardian of the Moral realm, she was the literal incarnation of an angel of judgment, she had black wings and a sword of fire, but was one of the kindest in personality.

Pause.
This is me Retsku telling this whole story right now, cause I'm just that bored, you guys will learn about me later in the story but just so that you know Jason is the Guardian of the Ethereal Realm and is best explained as a human shadow. That's all now back to the story.

Once all the Guardians arrived in the pocket dimension, the meeting began.
