The Exams: Forest Deity

"To the next match of the day, please welcome Alexis Knight of Class 1-D and Flora Dandelion of Class 1-B."

The audience roared in excitement.

"Are you both ready?" The host asked both combatants.

"Yes, sir." Adrian casually replied, while Flora remained silent.

"You may Begin!!!" The announcer roared, taking a couple of steps back.

"[Giant vines!]"

Flora's hair grew into multiple giant sized tree vines, which extended towards Alexis at  a high speed and with a monstrous momentum.

"Activate battle armor!" Alexis ordered his A.I(Veronica).

"[Battle suit Activated, Neural integration complete!]"Veronica replied immediately Alexis was fully cladded.

Alexis boosted of the ground to evade Flora's imminent attack.

*Bang!*

The evaded vines collided into a portion of the force field which was initially right behind Alexis.

"Phew!" Alexis watched the collision from above.

'Its seems she can't completely control that attack, due to its massive speed and momentum.' Alexis made his deduction.

"Hey you!! Do you think flying would save you." Flora angrily roared.

Alexis remained silent in thought, with one of his hands stroking his chin.

"You dare ignore me!!" Flora sounded more infuriated.

"[Giant vines!]"

Flora's hair extended into another set of tree sized vines aimed towards Alexis.

The vines charged at an even faster pace compared to the last one. Alexis remain in his position with  one hand on his chin and the other folded across his chest.

When the vines had almost made contact, Alexis stretched out the hand which was initially  folded across his chest.

"[Activate Boom Canons!]"Alexis hand morphed into some sort of canon.

*Boom!*

Alexis disintegrated her entire attack with a single blast of his canon.

"It's  rude to interrupt a person while he is in a state of thought." Alexis spoke in a dominating tone.

"You!!" Flora felt demeaned.

"[Giant Forest!]"

Flora slammed her palms on the ground. Suddenly, giant sized trees erupted all over the ring, filling the entire barrier from top to bottom, turning the ring into an actual forest.

"Let's see you blow away this!" She grinned.

"[Forest Deity] "She slammed her palms on the ground.

*Crack*

The trees unnaturally uprooted themselves from the ground. Their branches and roots intertwined themselves to form arms and legs, turning them into humanoid tree creatures.

*Rrrarrrr*

They all roared in unison, producing an intimidating sound which reverberated throughout the entire arena.

Most of the audience were in awe, this was the first time most of them had seen something of this nature.

"That is the mighty A-rank Flora Dandelion  for you!" The host roared, staring up the crowd.

"[Boom Canon: Burst]"

Alexis shot at one of her tree deities, bursting a hole through it.

"How disappointing." Alexis mocked as he shot down the tree deities one by one.

"Am not impressed." Alexis grinned.

"We're they just for show of ?" He added.

"Show off? " Flora bursted into laughter.

"Look around you." Her personality switched back into a serious one.

Alexis swallowed his own words, as he witnessed the forest deities regenerating themselves completely.

"[Boom Canon: Bu-r--s-]" A forest deity's fist came crashing on his left side, knocking him several meters away.

*Bam!!*

Alexis crashed into the wall of the barrier, his body pained by the impact of the collision. Several vines grew out of the ground, surrounding and confining him.

"How was that?" Flora giggled as she and her creations approached him.

"I must say I under estimated  you." Alexis grinned.

"It's time I get serious." He added.

"[Boom Canon Overdrive]"

The nanotech in his suit automatically rearranged themselves to create a large  cylindrical energy canon protruding out of his chest.

"You don't learn. Forest deities, smash him." Flora ordered.

"Burst!!!"

*Boom!!!!!*

The canon shot out an immense blue coloured ray, which  engulfed the Forest deities, Flora and half of the entire ring. The recoil from the attack crashed Alexis into the barrier.

*Boom!!!*

A blue coloured explosion followed after, tremendously shaking the entire arena; creating a little panic among a few in the audience.

"Incredible! Incredible! Incredible!!" The host yelled out repeatedly.

"What an amazing fire power." He added.

Thick Black fumes of smoke and dust filled the entire dome shaped barrier,  restricting the view of those in the audience.

"The smoke is beginning to clear!!"The announcer yelled again.

As the black fumes began to clear, the inside of the dome shaped barrier became more visible. The arena was completely destroyed. A large gully could be seen running from one end of the circular shaped ring to the other, the earth parted like in the Red Sea scenario.

The entire forest created by Flora got  wiped out completely, the Forest deities were all destroyed and Flora was half dead on the floor, her body almost burnt to crisps.

"Call the Medics!!!" The host yelled anxiously.

Multiple personels dressed in white arrived at the ring, trying to deliver the necessary treatment required to preserve Flora's life.

"[ The suits power is now at 20%, please charge.]" Veronica announced.

"Shut up you fucking AI!!" Alexis looked disarrayed.

"F-f-f-lora!" Alexis' called in a shaky voice.

"Would she be okay??" He asked one of the medical personels administering treatment to her.

"Flora is not in a very good condition, we can barely tell if she is alive." The medic said.

"Hey, you guys." The host  approached the medical team attending to Flora in the ring.

"Please get her out of the ring, we don't want anyone dying before the audience." The host said, without using the microphone in his hands

"We have important guests and we can't have such  dying here, get her out." He added, with a pretentious smile on his face.

"Sorry for that delay." He spoke through the microphone.

"Alexis Knight is hereby declared the winner by knockout." The announcer yelled.

The crowd replied with a roaring applaud.

'They were freaked out about the initial battle, but it seems they were entertained by this battle.' The host thought to himself.

["You have an incoming call from Dad"] Veronica said in her usual emotionless machine tone.

"Put me through!" He Ordered.

"You lost control again. You disappoint me!! You almost killed someone. Why use the move if you can't moderate the intensity?? Yo..." Alexis stopped the call abruptly.

Alexis's fists were clenched in rage. He could not believe it himself, he had almost killed someone.

He exited the arena with a heavy heart and at that moment, he swore to never use that move again.
