While learning about Spider-Man, Mark also referenced the opinions of versatile netizens, gaining a clearer understanding of the various power levels within the Marvel system
...
The first tier is called Surface Level, meaning characters who can only hold their ground on a planet's surface.
Characters like Iron Man, Captain America, Black Panther, Winter Soldier, Black Widow, Hawkeye, and the majority of parallel universe Spider-Men fall into this tier in their normal states.
Mark himself is in this tier as well.
The most noticeable characteristic is that characters at this level typically have combat capabilities that are limited to a city's scope, or even the weakest among them struggle to destroy a single building.
For example, Black Widow, Hawkeye, and the movie version of the Hulk.
A few villains Mark has encountered before, like the Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus, and the Lizard, also belong to this tier.
However, when Mark considered his current state, he wasn't the weakest within the Surface Level tier.
At the very least, when going all out, he could still manage to destroy several dozens of meters tall skyscrapers within a short period.
The second tier is Planetary Level.
Characters in this tier, at the very least, have the ability to effortlessly destroy an entire city and causing planetary-level destruction is a walk in the park for them. Classic examples include Captain Marvel and Thor.
If the Hulk, can maintain and explode with his anger, his power could reach this tier.
The third tier is God Level, more accurately described as God-King Level
Marvel has many Gods; for instance, in Asgard, almost everyone except the commoners is considered a god. However, even among gods, there are disparities in power.
Beings like the Warriors Three or some not really famous demi gods among the gods probably belong to the Surface Level, while those as powerful as Thor are part of the Planetary Level.
To truly be part of the third tier, they should be on the same level as Odin, Zeus, Ra, and Vishnu or other such All-Fathers.
They possess the power to easily obliterate an entire planet, and some of the mightiest among them can even reach single-universe levels.
In many works, there are very few characters that truly reach this tier.
Many gods from Earth's mythological systems, while some only existing in lore, are also set within this tier.
The fourth tier is Universal Level.
The minimum level here is still All Father Level, with the ability to effortlessly destroy a planet being the norm.
However, what makes characters at the Universal Level more formidable is their capability to directly affect the entire universe!
For instance, some of the Heralds of Galactus like Stardust, Firelord, Silver Surfer, and Terrax, all belong to this tier.
Among them, one of the most powerful, Stardust, has the power to simultaneously detonate several million suns, create dimensional portals and black holes. In contrast, one of the weakest, Air-Walker shares the same power level as the God-King Level, capable of destroying an Earth-like planet.
Additionally, characters like Thanos, when wielding the Infinity Gauntlet, belong to the pinnacle of this tier. (A/N: In the comics, it's stated that this form of Thanos is even stronger than Eternity, but from a cinematic perspective, it appears to be an exaggeration, hence its placement here.)
The fifth tier is the Multiverse Level.
This tier represents a complete watershed compared to the previous ones, with an enormous gap in power. According to the theory of parallel universes, even if a character is immensely powerful in their own universe, that power remains confined to that universe. However, when we examine the multiverse, there can be countless versions of "them."
Yet, in the realm of Multiverse Level, many of them are unique.
They can easily influence numerous parallel universes!
The cosmic entities - Oblivion, Eternity, Infinity, Death, and a well fed Galactus - all belong to this tier.
The Phoenix Spider, capable of defeating Galactus, should also be in this tier.
The sixth tier is the Nigh/Omnipotent Level
Currently, only one entity fits this description - the Living Tribunal.
The Living Tribunal is the mightiest being within the Marvel Universe, serving as its ultimate overseer. Even the Infinity Gauntlet is insignificant in comparison to him.
As for concepts like the Beyonders or The One Above All, they are mostly products of wild imagination and shouldn't be taken seriously (A/N: hinting that this story wouldn't delve into such abstract concepts because introducing them would complicate the established setting - it's already quite a task to rationalize the previously mentioned tiers).
Gathering and comprehending this information took Mark over a day. During that time, apart from eating and using the restroom, he was glued to his computer and phone, multitasking with remarkable focus. This was possible due to his robust physical condition and good memory.
While diving into this wealth of knowledge, Mark also discovered his "arch-nemesis," or more precisely, the arch-nemesis of all Spider-Men - the Inheritors!
The Inheritors is a terrifying clan that thrives on hunting "totems," led by a figure named Morlun.
Morlun is from Earth-000, and he once participated in the battle against the Master-Weaver. After defeating the that being, he conquered Earth-001.
Subsequently, they utilized the Weaver-Master's power for dimensional travel, hunting down individuals with the power of the Spider Totem in various parallel worlds - in other words, Spider-Men!
At this point, Mark was startled because he is also a Spider-Man! If these members of the Inheritors could truly traverse between parallel worlds using the Weaver-Master's power, there was no guarantee they wouldn't appear in his own world one day!
At that time... Mark immediately felt a sense of crisis.
Originally, after acquiring this unique ability, his goal was to travel between various worlds, satisfy his desires, explore the advanced technology of different worlds, and, if possible, learn better spacefaring techniques from other worlds to conduct research on Mars or even more distant planets.
This was the dream of every astronomy student.
To embark on the wondrous starry sky!
However, the appearance of the Inheritors undoubtedly delivered a sobering reality check to Mark.
This not only concerned his own safety but also the safety of his friends! The Noir Spider-Man, who was both mentor and friend, Spider-Gwen, Spider-Ham who could devour three hot dogs in one go, the middle-aged Peter Spider-Man, the lively and adorable Spider-Mech Penny, and all those who grew with him on this journey, like Miles.
These were all good friends who fought alongside him, laughed together, and enjoyed life together!
And then there were Tobey Spider, Andrew Spider, and even the yet-to-be-met Holland Spider, all of whom Mark greatly admired. Otherwise, he wouldn't have traveled to their worlds.
The ability to experiment was one thing, but his desire was also a crucial reason for choosing their worlds! How could he sit by knowing they were in danger of being killed?
Especially the Noir Spider-Man!
In the comics, he and another British Spider-Man become the earliest victims when members of the Inheritors appear!
"The Inheritors." Mark clenched his fist, never before yearning for power so intensely!
