My legs kicked, the water spreading behind me and propelling me forward. A moment's time later and I was once again at the surface of the sea.

Greedily I took in the fresh air, flinching at the nonexistent waves that only show in my vision. A ghost of a smile lit my face as water dripped over my eyes.

In just minutes there would be no more guardians, no more beings that could hinder my search. But right now that was not what was happening. The two that I had brought here, the wolf and Ellaine. One was fighting the guardian and winning but the other was not.

He was sent against beings dozens of times bigger than it, with instructions to stall for time. He would not last much longer. And it was for that reason that I once more swam.

Until I was finally at the spot I needed to be. I dove down once more and let my eyes adjust to the sea water.
