UNCONDITIONAL - PART 3

Entangled in the grip of Arvon's tail, Faye scowled at his last words, "Broken…" This stupid, arrogant beast did not know what broken was or even what it took to make one broken.

Instinctively, Faye's hand reached for the dagger at her waist. She could sense the dragon was short-tempered and, as she had been told earlier, unpredictable.

Maybe Sterling was right to give her the blade after all. But she hated violence and dreaded the thought of resorting to it.

Nevertheless, if this snarky dragon kept threatening her, she would have no choice but to stab him with the black iron dagger.

Faye did her best to glower with fury at Arvon. Her tongue became as sharp as his, her words cutting.

"Break me?" She asked in a sarcastic tone.

"You are a little too late to use that threat. I was already broken long before by the Baron and his Cretan son."

She puffed out her chest confidently. "So… nothing you do to me could be any worse."
