OBSCURA NOCTIS - PART 3

As Carter wandered through the dreary darkness of the forest, all he could think of was Dahlia. It was like a magnetic pull deep within him, urging him onward to connect with his mate.

He knew once he found her and they rekindled their connection again, his wolf abilities would return, his body would heal completely, and he would be whole again.

While he stopped for a minute to gain his bearings and figure out where he was, he leaned his shoulder into a tree and stared up at the scant moonlight sifting through the clouds overhead. Downy flakes of snow drifted from the night sky and lightly kissed his warm skin, melting on contact.

He wondered what the Moon Goddess was thinking right about now and if he was being tested or punished for his past sins.
